4~A6 special meeting of the Board of Trueteos was held at the Mesier Home. stead on Tuesday Evening, November I3th. I955 at Y;30 P.M. Those present; Trustee Pa~i, Riley, Kane,Berinato,Terwilliger,Mayor McCa ferty,Treas. LeRoy, Mr. Leonard A. Hall and Fred Silvestri and Agent of t! '~nternational Truck Company Mr. Callahan. Absent, Trustee Temple. Meeting was called to order. Mayor McCafferty announced that the object of the special meeting was for the purpose of hearing the report from Agent. Callahan of the International Truck Co. whe~er the new trUcks are avail- ab le. Mr. Callahan reported that thaT;company have several orders on file for new trucks including orders from some' villages in,the northern part of the county. The manufact~ure are respecting priorty to December Ist. but at the same time the company cannot guarntee whether the delivery would be made in February o~ Apr L1, the question is also be considered about the cost of trucks which the price may increase or decrease as you know the prices are subject to a change the Way the labor situation is now days.i He remarked if the village wishes to place ~n order for a truck and wish tO wait for delivery which no definite date can be specified it is up to t~em ;o place the order which would be given priorty. Trustee Riley requested if all dealers are in the same position on getting trucks from the m~nu~ac~- urer. Mr. Callahan replied you will find the same condition exist allover the country. Mayor McCafferty suggested that we let the matter rest as long as we cannot get any definite date for delivery. Agent Callahan than~ the board and remarked that he w~s sorry such condition exist at this timej Mr. Leonard A. Hall and Fred $11vestrl attended the meeting for the purposie of petitioning the Board to create at street off ~lzrch street pass the ~roperty of Mr. $ilvestri to W~lker Avenue. Mayor McCafferty requested who owns the land that they wish to create a street to Walker Avenue. Mr. Hal~ remarked he owns the land that borders the village land on one side and Mr.i Silvestri owns the land on the opposite side..Mr, Hall spoke in regards to curve coming down from his property and it was the question of whether the road would have to cut across a part of Mr. Valentino property. Mayor MoCaff. ferty remarked what about the fill going down onto Napoleon's property at the curve. Mr. Hall and Mr. Silvestri agree to give the village land to create the roadway to Walker Ave. Mayor MoCaffert¥ suggested that, the Clerk get in touch with Engineer Bond and request that he call and mak~ a survey of the land in order that the Board can consider the proposition of the propose roadway later on.
