10t <br />The regular mooting of the Board of Trustees was held at the Meeier <br />Homestead on Wednesday Evening, August ?th. Ze~ at ?;30 P.M. <br /> <br /> Those present; Trustee Page, Riley, Temple, Kane,Berinato, Terwilliger, <br /> Ma~or MoCafferty, Atty. Schofleld & ~l~oae. LeRoyo <br /> <br /> Meeting called to order. Roll call. The minutes of the previous regular <br />meeting were read. Upon motion by Trustee Kane and seconded by Trustee Bet- <br />tnato the minutes stand adopted as read. <br /> <br /> ~ 265S. Police Justiqe Begg report for the month of July was read announc- <br /> ing that the sum of $ 2~4.00 collected in fines and hondo were sent to the <br /> state Dept. as to comply with the new law. Motion by Trustee Temple and <br /> seconded by Trustee Berina~o the report be accepted as read. <br /> <br /> ~ 2689. Health Officer Dr. O'Brien submitted the following report for the <br /> month of July. During the month of July your Health officer was laid up <br /> with illness the first part of the month, during the remainder of the month <br /> no cases of contagious disease was reported. There were quite a few oases <br /> of stomach and intestinal upsets some of these oases were due to food <br /> while other were caused by intestinal grippe. SeVeral complaints were <br /> received mostly minor matters they were investigated and taken care of by <br /> ~ the Health officer, Motion by Trustee Berinato and seconded by Trustee <br /> Xane the report be accepted as read. <br /> <br /> ~ 2690. A oomm~mioatlon was read from~the w.T.Garner Eng. Oo.~I announcing <br /> that John J. Costa and Lane Priante were elected to active Membership. <br /> <br /> ~'269I. A Oommunication was read from the S.W. Johnson Eng, 0o.~2 announcing <br />' that the followin~ were elected to active membership. Poeluoci and Joseph Sil <br />~veetri,Jr. Motion by Trustee Riley and seconded by Trustee Temple the mem- <br />ibers be confirmed. <br /> ~ 2~91. A Communication was read from the S.W.Johnson Eng. 00.#2 requesting <br /> a life roll exemption certificate for John J. H&lvey and five years exemp- <br /> tion certificate for Jas. Ranieri and Fred. Silvestri. Motion by Trustee <br /> Temple and seconded by Trustee Riley the certificates be granted. <br /> ~.~ 269I. A Oommunioation was read f~om the S.W. Johneon Eng. 0o.~2 requesting <br /> the Village to install a shower in the company's headquarter at the earl- <br /> Lest convenience. No action taken. <br /> ~ 2692. A oar~l of thanks was received from the family of the la~e Ex-True- <br /> tee Laffin. Motion by Trustee Paggi and seconded by Trustee Riley the same <br /> be accepted and filed. <br /> !~ 2693. Police officer Eagan, DiBerto and Cos~a report of arrest for the <br /> month of July was received and ordered filed. <br /> <br /> ~ 269~.Liability,Property damages Etc. Policy on police oar was received <br /> from Agent D.D. Beasley for renewal. Motion by Trustee Xane and seconded by <br /> Trustee Paggi the policy be renewed and the bill order paid.' <br /> <br /> Chief Loren Secor of the Fire Dept. approached the Board in regards to the <br /> parking situation on West Main St. by the Academy theatre. <br /> <br /> Chairman Eane of tbs Highway committee reported progress; <br /> <br />Chairman Riley of the electric light committee reported that the lights <br />that were burnt out have been replaced. He also reported that so~e request <br /> has been made to plaoe shields on the lights to prevent the light from <br /> <br /> <br />
