120 <br /> The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees was held at the Mesier Home- <br /> stead on Wednesday Evening, November, 6th. I9~6 at ?;30 P.M. <br /> <br />Those present; Trustee Paggi,Rlley, Kane, Berinato, Terwilliger,Acting <br />Mayor Temple,Atty. Schofield & Treas. LeRoy. Absent. Mayor Helen McCaff- <br />erty. <br /> <br /> The meeting was called to order. Roll call. The minutes of the previous <br /> regular meeting were read. Upon motion by Trustee Kane and seconded by <br /> Trustee Berinato the minutes stand adopted as read. <br /> <br />$2y26. Police Justice Be~ repor~ for the month of October was read announ <br />cing that the sum of $ 2~.OO collected in fines and bonds were sent to th <br />state Dept. ~as to comply with the new law. Motion by Trustee Terwilliger <br />and seconded by Trustee Kane the report be accepted as read. <br /> <br /> A communication was read from the S.W. Johnson Eng. Co.$2 announc- <br />ing that Joseph Marshall and Albert Eisberg were elected to active member~. <br />ship.. Also requesting a five years exemption cer-tificate for Louis Bar- <br /> acca. Motion by Trustee Riley and seconded by Trustee Berinato the member <br /> be confirmed and the cerZificate be granted. <br /> <br />$ 272~. A Communication was read from the W.T.Garner Eng. Co.$I inviting <br />the members of the Board of Trustees to the dedication of tablet to be <br />held November I6th. in honor of world war .two veteran Eugene Darrigan who <br />was killed in action. Acting Mayor requested all members of the Board to <br />be present at the dedication. <br /> <br /> $ 2729. Police officer Eagan,Costa and DiBerto report of arrest for the <br /> month of October was received and ordered filed. <br /> <br />$ 2730. Report o~ Vital Statistics was read from the State Dept. of Health <br /> as followed. 3 births certificates issued $.50$ each,25 death cer. tificata~ <br /> @ .25 ¢ Each, I2 pro,pt reports @ $ 2.00 each. Total $ 31.75; Motion by <br /> Trustee Riley and seconded by Trustee Berinato the report be accepted as <br /> read. ' <br /> <br />$ 273~- Health officer Dr. O'B~ien submitted the following report for the <br />month of October. The month of October was comparatively healthy during <br />the month as far as sickness was concerned. There were no epidemic but dur. <br />lng the latter part of the. month cases of whooping cough showed, up. Four <br />cases of whooping cough was reported to your health of~'lcer during the mort. <br />th. Also one case of chicken pox was reported. Water sample was collected <br />and sent to Albany for examination the report was satisfactory as usual. <br />Otherwise there were very little activity in the health dept. Motion <br />by Trustee Paggi and seconded by Trustee Terwilliger the report be accept- <br />ed as read. <br /> <br />Chief Secor of the Fire Dept. requested that the Board include in the next <br />b~dget the cost of installing an entrance to basement in both fire houses <br />Also requested if the village would purchased some inch and half fire <br />for the fire dept. Motion by Trustee Kane and seconded by Trustee Ter- <br />williger the Chairman of the Fire Committee be authorized to obtain bids <br />for the cost of installing the entrance in the basement of the two fire <br />houses in order that to ascertain the amount to levy in taxes. <br /> <br /> Edward ~errine approached the meeting and reported that he was delegated <br /> by the Johnson Eng. Co. to request the Village to purchase some folding <br /> chairs for the meeting room. <br /> <br /> <br />
