164 <br /> The regular meeting cf the Board of Tr~stees was held at the Mesier <br />Homestead on Wednesday Evening May 7th. I9~7 at ?;30 P.~. <br /> <br />Those'present; Trustee Paggi, Sidote, Riley, Goebel, Be~inato@Terwilliger, <br />Mayor Temple and Treas. LeRoy. Absent. Atty. Schofield. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order. Roll call. The minutes of the previous <br />regular was read. Upon motion by Trustee Berinato and seconded by Trustee <br />Goebel the minutes stand adopted as read. <br /> <br />Mayor Temple announced 'that we will dispense with the regular order of <br />business in order to hear from those present who'wiBhes to speak before <br />the member~ of the Board. <br /> <br />Representative John J~ Dwyer of the Eureka Hose Mfg. Co. announced that <br />the object of him being present was that he understood the village Board <br />was interested in purchasing some hose and supplies for the fire Dept. an( <br />he wish to offer prices on the same. ~ir, Dwyer quoted the price of 25 Inc! <br />double jacket wax gum, treated hose @ $ 1.50 Per Ft. and the 15 Inch double <br />Jacket wax gum treated hose @ .95¢ Per Ft. and a cheaper grade of 15 inch <br />~ .89 ¢ per Ft. and 2, siamese size 23 x I½ @ $ 28,00 each. <br />Chairman Pag~i of the' Fire Committee suggested that we purchased 300 Ft. <br />of the 2~ Inch hose and 400 Ft. of the I~ I~h hose. <br /> <br /> Motion~was offered by Trustee Paggi and seconded by Trustee Sidote we put. <br />chased 300 ~t. of the D,J. 25 Inch Hose @ $ 1.50 Per Ft. and 400 Ft. of th <br />I~ Inch D.J. hose ~ .95 cts. per ft. also the two siamese from the Eureka <br /> ~'ire Hose ~fg. O ~nzined Hubber Coats @ $ IIVOO Each and I2 Aluminum <br />Helmets with ear laps $ I35.00 as supplies listed. <br /> <br /> Motion by Trustee Riley and seconded by Trustee Goebel we purchased the <br />2-I~ Inch Nozzles, 6 Pair of Boo~t~s,6-Unlined Rubber Coats and I2 Aluminum <br />Helmets with ear laps from the Eureka Hose ~,~fg. Co. <br /> <br />Mr. Dwyer announced that the spanners and hose straps would be furnished <br />free with the hose. <br /> <br />The regular order of business was again taken up as recorded. <br /> #2825. Police Justice Begg report ~for the month of April was read announ- <br />cing that the sum of $ I9~O0 collected in fines and bonds were sent to th, <br />State Dept. as to comply with the new law. <br /> <br />~ 2g25. Health Officer Dr. O'Brien submitted the following report for the <br />month of April. There was quite a nt~nber o~ cases of colds and grippe in <br />the Village during the month of April. However the smallpox scare took pre~ <br />cedence over all other disease, a great number of cases were vaccinated <br />privately and in the clinic. No cases of contagious disease were reported <br />to the Health Officer. A sampl~ of wster was taken and sent to Albany for <br />examination and the report was satisfactory as usual. Notion by Trustee <br />Terwilliger and seconded by Trustee Goebel the reports read be accepted as <br />read. <br /> <br />2826. A Communication read from the V.F.W. Post 5913 requestin~_ permiss- <br />ion to sell "Buddy Poppies" on the village streets during the week of <br />May 24th. to May 3Ist. <br /> <br /> <br />
