Schofield. Absent Trustee Riley & Treas. LeRoy. <br /> <br />Meetin~ called to order. Roll call. ~ayor Temple announce,~ the object of the <br />continued me,ting w~s for the purpose of taking action on the removal of <br />the old whitman house on Clinton St. which is declared a hazard and any <br />other business that should com~ before this meeting. <br /> <br />A oo~r ~unication was read from ~rs. I~'~argt. Castongu~y of West ~ain St. annou- <br />ncing that the vacant lot at the corner of Clinton St. and West ~ain St. was <br />being used as a dt~ping grounds and is causing a very unpleasant odor, <br /> <br />Village Attorney Schofield requestea thatc~he~eommu~ioation be turned over <br />to him for attention. <br /> <br />! Mayor Temple reported that the Honor roll in the Park is getting in very <br />i poor condition and he has been approached by a party who is willing to ro- <br />i move the same for the lumber and material without any extra cost to the Vil- <br />I lags. Motion by Trustee Sidote and seconded by Trustee Berinato the Hon- <br />!or roll be removed by the party who a?:roached the ~ayor and the same to be <br />removed without any extra expense of the vill~age. <br /> <br />'~ttorne3? Schofield reported that he would draw ~p a renewal contract for the <br />sewer rental and send a copy to the Board of Education if the BOard of Trust- <br /> ees request the same. Motion by Trustee Pa~:~l and seconded by Trustee <br /> Terwil !_igor the ~,ttorney ~e authorized to draw up a renewal contract for the <br /> period of six years for sewer rental cha~ge and mail a copy to the Central <br /> School Board of Education. <br /> <br />Ernest N~ardone and John J. Smith of East ~ain St. approached the Meeting in <br />regards to objectthg~i:to making Reservoir Place one-way street by havin~ the <br />"Exit" at East Main St. ~r. Smith remarked that the traffic has been run- <br />ning through this street for the past fifty five yrs or more and why change <br />it now, Mr. Nardone remarked that most of thetrucks what hat~ls his supp' <br />li~s for th~ bake shop always comes in at East L'~ain St. and it wotuld'nt be <br />fair to make them go around the block to Franklin Stre:~t to enter,the most <br />of Mr. ~Winne supr~lies are delivered to his back door and the trucks comes <br />in at East ~,'Jlain ~t. %thy should the business men be imposed upon. <br /> <br /> Motion by Trustee Berinato and seconded by Trustee Paggi the Traffic Regttl- <br /> ations through Reservoir Place remain the same with the Trucks and Car8 <br />!entering or leaving at either end of the street. <br /> <br />Motion by~Tru~tee Pag~'i and seconded by Trustee Goebel we place "Ca~ion" <br />signs at each end of Reservoir Place to control traffic. <br /> <br />iThe question csme before the meeting in regards to the Village selling the <br />~'forty Four ft, extension ladder to the highest bidder &nd ~ayor Temple Sug- <br />gested that Chairman PanEl of the Fire o.::~:~ttee seek bids for the ladder <br /> <br /> A co,~.~.unica~tion was read from C.W.Knight announcing that he wotuld exchange <br />Ford-V-8 I936 ~iodel chassis and installed the garbage truck body on the <br />isaac without any extra cost in exchange for the Chevrolet I939 chassis the <br />ivil]age has on hand. The same was ref~rred to Chairman Goebel. <br /> <br /> Atty. Schofield res~d the resolution draw up to be adopted to have the old <br /> Whitman house on Clinton Street removed as hazard. <br /> <br /> <br />
