The regular meetin~ of the Board of Trustees was held at the Mesier HA~-~ <br />stead on Wednesday~vening December 3rd. 194? at 7;30` P.M. <br /> <br />Those present; Trustee Paggi, $idote, Riley, Goebel, Berinato,Terwilliger, <br />Mayor Temple, Atty. 8ohofield ard Treas. LeRoy. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order; Roll call. The minutes of the previous regular <br />meeting were read. upon motion by Trustee Berinato and seconded by Trustee <br />Sidote the minutes stand adopted as read. <br /> <br />A communication was read from Mrs. Casanova Of New York City anno~ncing <br />that during her visit here a couple of weeks ago she fell on the sidewalk <br /> <br />on West Street injuring her leg, the. fall being caused by a raised flag <br />stone in the walk. The letter was referred to ~ttorns7 Schofield for <br /> <br />attention. <br /> <br />$2~O~. Police Justice Be~g report for the month of November was' read ann- <br />ounclng that the sum of $ 9I.O0 collected in fines ~nd bonds were sent to <br />the State Dept. as to comply with the law. Motion by Trustee Riley and <br />seconded by Trustee Paggi the report be accepted as read. <br /> <br />$2~O5. Police Officer Eagan,DiBerto and Costa report for the month of Nov- <br />ember-was received and ordered filed. <br /> <br />$Z~06. Health Officer Dr. O'Brien submitted the following report' for the <br />month of November. During the month of November the health of the Village <br />was better than usual for the month. There were numerous colds but less <br />than the average. There were no oases of contagious disease reported dur- <br />ing the month. The cases of scarlet fever reported the previous mo~nth re- <br />covered completely and no more cases were reported. The last week of the <br />month a sable of water was collected and sent to Albany and the report <br />was returned and was satisfactory as usual. No complaints were received <br />durin~ the month. Mo'rich by Trustee Terwilliger and seconded by Trustee <br />Pa~gi the report be accepted as read. <br /> <br />$2~07. Fire insurance policy on Co.I Headquarters was received for renewal <br />for the period of three years from Agent. Howard J. Walker. Motion by <br />Trustee Riley and seconded by Trustee Paggi the policy be renewed and the <br />bill ordered paid. <br /> <br />Chairman Berinato of the Highway Committee reported progress; · <br /> <br />Chairman Paggi of the Fire committee reported progress; <br /> <br />Chairman Riley of the Electric light committee reported progress; <br /> <br />Chairman Terwilliger of the Ordinance committee reported progress; <br /> <br />Chairman Goebel of the Sewer & Sanitation committee reported that a port- <br />ion of the highway caved in on Remsen Ave. caused by a broken sewer servio <br />main into Mr. Curtis house. He also reported that the sewer equipment had <br />arrived and the agent expect to c~!l this week to demonstrate. He also re- <br />ported that we need a couple more parts which was not included in the <br />order. <br /> <br />Chairman Sidote of the Miscellaneous committee reported l~.rogress; <br /> <br />Chairmau Riley of the Electric committee announced that he forgot to ment- <br />ion the matter of concerning the new lights installed that some of the <br />members were under the wrong impression. Chairman Riley reported that <br />Mt. Hannah had informed him that the village would only have to replace the <br /> <br /> <br />
