The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees was held at the Mesie~]9 <br />Homestead on Wednesday Evening, January ?th. I945 at ?;30 P,M. <br /> <br />Those present; Trustee Paggi', Sidote,Riley, Goebel, Berinato,Terwilliger, <br />Mayor Temple, Atty. Schofield and Treas. L~oy. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order. Roll Call. The minutes of the previous regular <br />meeting were read. Upon motion by Trustee Paggi and seconded by Trustee <br />Riley the minutes stand adopted as read. <br /> <br />#2 6,Ponoe Justice report for the month of Uecember was read <br />unioing that the sumof $ 49.00 collected in fines and bonds were sent <br />the State Dept. as to comply with the new law. Motion by Trustee Berlnato <br />and seconded by Trustee P~g~i ~he report be accepted as read. <br /> <br />$ 2407. A communication was read from O.K. Sherwin requesting that the <br />Village Board prohibit parking on both sides of the East Main St. Until <br />the smow has been removed as to ~$~ent traffic Qongestion. The same was <br />ordered filed.' <br /> <br /> $240~. A communication was read from the S.W.Johneon Engine 0o.~2 announ- <br />~cing that Joseph Pullicene and Edward Chase,Jr. were elected to active <br /> membership. Motion by Trustee Terwilliger and seconded by Trustee Sidote <br /> the members be confirmed. <br /> <br />~2~09, Police Officer Eagan, DiBerto and Costa report of arrest for the <br />son. th of December was received a~ x~:~ez%d filed. <br /> <br />~24IO. Health Officer Dr. O'Brien submitted the following report for the <br />month of December. During the month of December there was the usual <br />amount of sickness for the ssa~on. There were no special outbreak of <br />4isease but two oases of scarlet fever were reported and one case <br />en pox. There were ~hree ~ermits issued to milk distributors for the Vil- <br />lage. Sample of water were collected 'and sent to Albany wi~h the usual <br />satisfactory repor~ received. There were rio complaints received driving <br />the month. Some oil dealers asked you~ health officer to 'intercede with <br />the lamge companies to try to obtain more oil for them. Motion by Trustee <br />Riley and seconded by Trustee Berinato the report be accepted as read. <br /> <br />Motion was offered by Trustee Riley and seconded by Trustee Sidote that <br />~he Village hire a couple more men to help remove the snow from the East <br />Main and West Main St. and part of Market Street also the bridg~ to make <br />room for traffic. <br /> <br />A communication received from Atty. Supple and Palisi of Beacon, N.Y. en- <br />closing a claim for the mum of $ ~OO.OO for injur~ies received by Miss. <br />Casanova caused by a raised pavement on West St. The same was referred to <br />Attorney Schofield for attention. Upon motion by Trustee Paggi and secon~ <br />ed by. Trustee Goebel. <br /> <br />$24II. Liability and property d~mage policy on Chevrolet Dump truck was <br />received from Agent. D.D.Beasley for renewal. <br /> <br />$2412' Fire insurance policy on LaFranee ~nd Ma~k Fire apparatus was re- <br />ceived from Agent. D.D.Beasley for renewal. Motion by Trustee Riley and_ <br />seconded by Trustee Berinato the policies be renewed and the bills order <br />ed paid. <br /> <br />$24I3. A communication was read from the Public service Commission mnno- <br />uniting that the Poughkeepsie & Wapp'grs Railway company were requesting <br />an increase in fare. <br /> <br /> <br />
