The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees was held at the Mesier <br />I,Homestead on.Wednesday Evening, April, 7th. 1948 at 7;3© P,M. · · <br />iTh°se pre sent, Trustea Feeney, Bidote,Riley, Goebel,Berin~t0,Terwllliger, <br /> Mayor Temple and Treas. LeRoy. Absent; Atty. Sohofield. <br /> <br /> Meeting called to order. Roll call. The minutes of the previous regular <br /> and annual meeting were read. Upon motion by Trustee Riley and seconded <br /> by Trustee Berinato the minutes stand adopted as read. <br /> <br /> Treasurer LeRoy brought uD the question of the Board of Trustees granting <br /> an increase to all the village employees~but not any to the Treasurer and <br /> and clerk. Treasurer LeRoy stated that we both have extra work to d~o and <br /> should be given some consideration. ~Mayor Temple suggested that this mat- <br /> ter be taken up later in the meeting. <br /> <br /> Mrs. George Minard aPproached the Board in regards to connecting her prop- <br />erty on to the village sewer main at East Main Street. Mrs. Minard remarke~ <br />that she had appeared before the Village ~Boa~d on this matter some time <br />ago and nothing has been done to this date. Mayor Temple assured Mrs. <br /> ard that he would have this matter taken up with the State Engineer to <br /> ascertain if they will grant permission to run a pipe under the state <br /> highway. Clerk Sherman was instructed to notify the State Engineer Mr. <br />!Michaels. <br /> <br /> A communication enclosing the estimate cost to damage to the corner of <br /> building was received from Ernest Nardone, East Main St. Motion by Truste~ <br /> Riley and seconded by Trustee Goebel the same be referred to Agent. Edward <br />iJ. Buok to submit to the insumance company. <br /> <br />152459. A communication was read from the Secretary of the Chiefs conventio <br />'aunouncing that the delegates of the fire companies approved of Harry Bur- <br />~ger for C~ief Engineer, Joe. A. Burnett Ist. Asst. and Frank Marshall .2nd. <br /> Asst. Motion by Trustee Riley and seconded by Trustee Terwilliger the <br /> Chiefs be confirmed. <br /> <br />~2460. A yearl7 report of arrest was received from Captain Eagan of the <br />Police Dept. Motion by Trustee Berinato and seconded by Trustee Feeney <br />the report be accepted as read. <br /> <br />$2~6I. A oom~,unioa~ion was read from the S.W. Johnson Eng. Co.~2 announcin~ <br />that Geo. Luciano and Robert Humphrey were elected to active member ship. <br /> <br /> Motion by Trustee Goebel and Seconded by Trustee Terwilliger the same be <br /> confirmed. <br /> <br />#2462. Police Justice Begg report for the month of March~, was read a~uou~ <br />cing that the sum. of '$ 220.00 colledted in fines and bonds were sent to <br />the State Dept. _as to co_reply with the new law. Motion by Trustee Berinato <br />and Seconded by Trustee Goebel the report be accepted as read. <br /> <br /> $2~63. A report' was read from the out-going Chief Engineer of the Fire <br /> Dept. Joe. A. Burnett announcing that he had investigated the fire hazard <br /> at the General Case Co. and Dutchess Frocks and he notified them to re- <br /> move such rubbish at once or be subject to a fine imposed by the Village <br /> ordinance. <br /> <br />( See page <br /> <br /> <br />
