25O <br /> The Regular meeting of the Boamd of Trustees was held at the Mesier <br />Homestead on Wednesday Evening, May 5th. I948 at ?;30 P.M. <br /> <br />Those Present. Trustee Feeney, $idote,Riley,Goebel,Berinato,Terwil!iger, <br />Ma~or Temple, Atty. Schofield and Treas. LeRoy. <br /> <br /> Me~ting called to order. Roll call. The minutes of the previous regula~ <br /> meeting were read. Upon motion by Trustee Riley and seco~Ad by Trustee <br />Goebel the minutes stand adopted as read. <br /> <br />MayOr Temple announced the regular order of busines~ will be dispense~ with <br />in Order to hear from' those present that wishes to speak before the members <br />of the Board. <br /> <br />Mrs. Lattanzio approached the Board in regards to having sewer and water <br />connected to her property on Nelson Ave. which she has turned into buil- <br />ding lots. Mrs. Eattanzio remarked that she has II acres of l~nd of which <br />5 acres are in the Village. Trustee Goebel remarked that the property will <br />have to be surveyed to determined the village line. <br /> <br /> Chief Harry Burger reported that he had made a check up on property in the <br />village where rubbish had acct~nalated and also where fires were being <br />burned near bttlldings and the owners were o~tified to comply with the vil-. <br />lags ordinance. He also reported that the Garner Fire apoaratus was in ne~d o <br /> of repairs. <br /> <br /> Dominic Bottini approached the Board in regards to the old house nex~ to <br /> his property on Clinton street being a fire hazard and should be removed <br /> as the youngsters hangs out in there and smoke cigarettes and are apt to <br /> start a fire. Mayor T~mple remarked that this building was condemened a <br /> few months ago and is· to ~e tozn down. It was suggested that the men on <br /> Highway tare down the building and cart the old lumber to the inoinera~o: <br /> to be burned for fuel~. <br /> <br />Commander William Howard of the J.~orris Goring-Wm.Ku~tz Po~t ~27 America~. <br />Legion requested permi~ssion from the Board for Memorial day parade. ~ayor <br /> Temple announced permission is granted, and the parade form by the Village <br />Park. <br /> <br /> Mr. O'Hare accompanied by a committee from the Garner Engine Company app- <br /> roached the Board in regards to giving details on the cost of repairing <br /> tbs Garner Fire Apparatus at an estimate of $ IO95.OO not including the <br /> labor on the motor. Mr. O'Hare remarked that the material in the present <br /> apparatus is better than they are turning out to-day and if the same is <br /> repaired it should give another ten years service.Mayor Temple announced <br /> we will act on this matter later in the meeting before the budget is ad- <br /> opt ed. <br /> <br /> The regular order of business was a~ain taken up as recorded. <br /> <br /> $2~72. Police Justice Beg~ report for the month of April was re'ad announ-~ <br /> cing that the sum of $ I32.O© collected in fines and bonds was forward <br /> the State Dept. as to comply wi~h the new law. Motion by Trustee Berinat~ <br /> and seconded by Trustee Riley the report be accepted as read. <br /> <br />$ 24~3. Dr. O'Brien Health officer submitted the following report ~or <br />month of April. During the month of April there was th~ usual amount of~' <br />illness for the month. Two oase~ of measles was reported. From report <br />other sections we are due for an outbreak of measles. New ruling from Al-i <br />bany that the water sample be sent each month and sample was sent and the! <br /> report received was satisfactorY,as usual. (Seepage 25I) <br /> <br /> <br />
