MINUTES OF PLANNING BOARD <br /> <br />-2- 7~6~06 <br /> <br />JEFFREY AND NATALIE SMITH, 2600 SOUTH AVENUE <br />Mr. Smith stated he had a flight change to his site plan/subdivision map. When <br />surveyors came to lay out the house that will be placed on the lot - there was an error of 1 <br />½' - (house would not be the required 8 i~. sideline) Error was caught before subdivision <br />map was filed (hut after it was signed by the Planning Board Chairman and changed after <br />it was signed). Planning Board Chairman stated he would restamp sign the map that Mr. <br />Smith has but for the record he'wants a letter sent to the Engineer/Architect stated that he <br />objects to the Engineer changing a map that has already been stamped and signed and <br />was ready for filing - reminding the Engineer of proper protocol and professionalism. <br />Mr. Bmtting stated he has reviewed the amended map and it does conform to all zorfing <br />requirements. <br /> <br />At this point in the meeting Mr. Morris read a letter fi'om the Wappingers Falls <br />Businessmen's Association (copy of letter on file in the Planning/Zoning offices) <br />complimenting Mr. Alfonso for the speech he gave at their last meeting - letter also <br />stated anytime a member of their group has been before the Planning Board they have <br />always been treated with respect and fairness. <br /> <br />BOSTWICK SALES~ 789 OLD ROUTE 9 <br />Next on the agenda was the appearance by Mr. Bill Bostwick to discuss occupancy at his <br />new building at the above address. Mr. Bostwick stated his building is "moving right <br />along" and he should be ready for occupancy very soon. He will be moving his business <br />from the "temporary" metal building into the new building. Another one of his tenants <br />will be Creative Kitchens. Mr. Bob Flyrm from Creative Kitchens was present to discuss <br />his plans. Applicant stated he sells kitchens. Currently he is located at the comer of <br />Myers Comer Road and Route 9. It will be a Custom Kitchen Showroom- very little <br />materials will be stored on site. His hours of operation will be 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. <br />Tuesday through Friday and 10:00 a~m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturdays -closed Sundays and <br />Mondays. He will be occupying 2000 sq. f~. on the first floor. It was stated that none of <br />the fixtures will be operational - no plumbing. Signage will not be discussed this <br />evening. Mr. Kolb asked about the parking calculations and Mr. Morris stated parking <br />for retail establishments had been calculated at the time of site plan review. It was stated <br />there is a cross-easement agreement for parking on file with the Rennhack building which <br />is adjacent. Mr. Alfonso made a motion to approve the use of the building (Suites <br />A&B) for Creative Kitchens contingent upon a Certificate of Occupancy being issued for <br />the building. Mr. Kolb seconded the motion. Unanimously carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Bostwiek stated there is one little change to his site plan - he would like to change <br />his dumpster enclosure. He would like to install a metal change llnlc fence with slats <br />around dumpster - which would match the fence around his property instead of the <br />approved block. Mr. Morris' concern was for any residents in the area. Mr. Bostwick <br />stated the reason he is requesting the change is bemuse there is the possibility of hard <br />stone in the area of the dumpster and it would be easier just to drill a few holes for the <br />chain link fence. Applicant stated when he is ready to do the dumpster enclosure if there <br /> <br /> <br />
