Mr. Morris then asked Mr. Brutting if the pad conformed to all codes and <br />Mr. Brutting stated it did and this was confirmed by Fire Inspector Liebermann. Mr. <br />Alfonso asked if applicant was currently in court and Mr. Brutting answered there is a <br />pending summons in court that will be adjudicated next week (applicant starting building <br />pad without permit due to some confusion between offices). Applicant stated the pad <br />would be used for cooler exclusively - there would be no outdoor seating/caf6 and not be <br />used for patrons to smoke. Mr. Alfonso made a motion to approve the pad and cooler <br />location and also change of ownership contingent upon resolution of court proceedings, <br />Mr. Moran seconded the motion. Unanimously carried. <br /> <br />Next signage was discussed. The applicant is proposing to install an illuminated box sign <br />- it will be 2' x 12' and the colors are black, orange and green - samples were attached. <br />It was stated that the building sign meets current code (as a side note Mr. Morris stated <br />that the Board does not like box signs but currently there is no laws against them) - <br />Applicant is allowed 42 sq. fl. of signage - and building sign is 24 sq. ft. - it was stated <br />that the plaza ownem had approved the proposed sign and signed the sign permit <br />application. Mr. Alfonso asked about the wattage of the bulbs and applicant stated he <br />would have to submit that separately but it would be soft fluorescent lights. Mr. Alfonso <br />made a motion to approve the building sign contingent upon the wattage being approved <br />by the Code Enforcement Officer and resolution of court proceedings. Motion was <br />seconded by Mr. McCormick. Unanimously carried. It was noted any additional <br />signage could be no more than 18 sq. ft. or a variance would have to be required. <br /> <br />SUPREME PIANOS~ 2684 WEST MAIN STREET <br />Next on the agenda was the proposed sign by Supreme Pianos. Applicant stated his sign <br />blew down in a wind storm. He presented a new proposal. Applicant did not know the <br />exact lineal sq. footage of his building. Mr. Brutting will verify the dimensions of the <br />proposed sign. Applicant presented Board with color saraples. There will be no <br />illumination. Mr. Moran made a motion to approve the sign, seconded by Mr. <br />McCormick contingent upon application being updated to include lineal footage of <br />building and size of sign being verified by Code Enforcement Officer. Unanimously <br />carded. <br /> <br />JADE PALACE - BANK PLAZA <br />Next on the agenda was the appearance by Yuan Fun, Inc. d/b/a/Jade Palace to discuss <br />change of ownership. Applicant stated there will be no change to the building or the <br />restaurant -just a change of ownership. Mr. Brutting stated there is a pending court case <br />against applicant which will be resolved next week. Mr. Alfonso made a motion to <br />accept the change in ownership, seconded by Mr. Moran contingent upon court case <br />being resolved.
