PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br /> <br />-2- 1/5/06 <br /> <br />few agenda items to please either go downstairs or outside - as agenda items came up <br />someone would make an announcement in both places. The audience complied and the <br />meeting was continued. Mr. Alfonso made a motion to postpone the approval of the <br />December minutes based on the fact that he did not want to accept the Court Recording <br />of the proceedings - motion seconded by Mr. Moran. Unanimously carried. <br /> <br />BEAUTIFUL WALL COVERINGS~ ROUTE 9~ REGENCY EAST <br />First on the agenda was the proposal from Beautiful Wall Covetings for their sign at the <br />above address. Applicant had three separate applications - the first application is for the <br />marquis sign - Applicants portion of the sign would be 14.5 sq. ft. - she supplied color <br />samples - blue and yellow - it is internally lit. The next signs being proposed are on the <br />actual awnings - that portion of the sign would be a total of 55 sq. ft. - as well as one <br />neon window skeleton - which would be 12.2 sq. ft. total - applicant presented colors and <br />samples for the awnings and window neons - awnings would be beige and lettering <br />would be blue - window neons would be rose and blue. It was stated that lineal frontage <br />is 55 ft. allowing 110 sq. ft. of signs - applicant is below allowable signage. Mr. <br />Alfonso made a motion to approve all three applications as presented - motion seconded <br />by Mr. McCormick. Unanimously carried. Applicant was reminded to stop in the <br />Planning/Zoning offices during normal business hours to legitimize all applications. <br /> <br />DOUBLE O GRILL (FORMERLY ROLLING ROCK) ROUTE 9 <br /> <br />Next on the agenda was the proposal for a sign by the Double O Grill (formerly Rolling <br />Rock) Route 9. Applicant presented application. Mr. Morris stated the last time <br />applicant appeared before Board he stated there would be no changes to the exterior <br />except color of the paint. It appears now there is a slight change to the exterior of the <br />building. There is a small addition to the front of the building that was not discussed at <br />the last meeting. The Board cannot address the front building sign this evening because <br />there is no drawings for the proposed addition. <br /> <br />At this point the Road sign was discussed. The proposed sign is a slight reduction from <br />the existing Rolling Rock sign. Applicant did not have color samples with him. After <br />reviewing conformance to codes for the road sign - Mr. Alfonso made a motion to <br />approve the sign as presented contingent upon applicant supplying color samples to the <br />Planning/Zoning office and owner signing the application. Motion was seconded by Mr. <br />Moran. Unanimously carded. Applicant was reminded before sign is installed - all <br />contingencies would have to be taken care of and ail fees paid. As a reminded to <br />applicant - approval is for monument sign only. <br /> <br />KENYA'S NATURAL HAIR~ 2717 WEST MAIN STREET <br />Next on the agenda was the proposal from Kenya's Natural Hair to be able to use 2717 <br />West Main Street for a hair salon and seeking approval for a sign. Applicant stated she <br />would be operating a hair salon - hours of operation would be Monday through Saturday <br />from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Sundays from 10:00 a.m. through 8:00 p.m. She <br />would have three employees and one assistant.
