~ M1NUTES OF PLANNING BOARD -2- 9/8/05 <br /> <br />No one was at meeting to discuss this heating. <br /> <br />LECLERC MARTIAL ARTS~ LAFAYETTE PLAZA <br />Next on the agenda was the application of LeClerc's Martial Arts, Lafayette Plaza with a <br />building sign and a new panel for the pylon sign. It was stated that the sign would be <br />individual letters - back lit - placed on the aluminum box - which would be the same <br />color of the building. Mr. Morris asked applicant for a color chip of the background. <br />The letters would be red and applicant brought a sample of the letter for the Board. <br />After reviewing the permit for conformance to the code - Mr. Alfonso made a motion to <br />approve the sign as presented, contiugent upon applicant supply'mg the Board the original <br />signature page and a color chip of the background - seconded by Mr. McCormick. <br />Unanimously carried. <br /> <br />NELLIE ZHININ~ 2553 SOUTH AVENUE <br />Next on the agenda was the infom~al appearance by Ms. Nellie Zhinin for permission for <br />a taxi business at the above address. It was stated that applicant would have one vehicle <br />- only sign to be on vehicle and there would be no patrons coming to the home. Both <br />Mr. Morris and Mr. Brutting consulted the use charge and it was stated that a taxi <br />business is not an allowed use in an R7.5 zone - therefore applicant would have to go to <br />the ZBA for a variance. This was explained to the applicant and at this point Mr. <br />Alfonso made a motion to deny the use, seconded by Mr. McCormick. Unanimously <br />carded. <br /> <br />FRED LAWRENCE~ 2653 WEST MAIN STREET <br />Next on the aganda was the infom~al appearance by Fred Lawrence to be able to operate <br />a Catholic Book Store at 2653 East Main Street. He stated his hours of operation would <br />be from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Applicant was told that he <br />would have to come to the Planning Board for any new signage. He presented the Board <br />with a letter from the owner stating applicant had permission to operate his business and <br />make any changes to the sign. After some discussion Mr. McCormick made a motion to <br />approve the use as a Catholic Book Store, seconded by Mr. Alfonso. Unanimously <br />carded. <br /> <br />CHARLES NORMAN~ 1 MARKET STREET <br />No one was present for hearing. <br /> <br />TOM AND LAURIE WEBER~ 19 DELAVERGNE AVENUE <br />Next on the agenda was the informal appearance by Tom and Laurie Weber to be able to <br />use property at 19 Delavergne Avenue for a contracting business. Applicants stated they <br />are presently selling their plumbing business at 19 Delavergne Avenue and Mr. Bryant <br />would like to run his contracting business from there. He stated he would like to build a <br />new building on the property and asked if this would be feasible - Mr. Morris stated it <br /> <br /> <br />
