His hours of operation would be Monday <br />through Friday 9:00 a.m, to 9:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mr. <br />Alfonso asked applicant about his sign and applicant stated he would apply for that at a <br />later date. Mr. Brutting reminded applicant after he opened a Fire Inspection would be <br />required. Mr. Alfonso made a motion to approve the use of the martial arts studio in the <br />Lafayette Plaza, seconded by Mr. Moran. Unanimously carried. <br /> <br />SUPREME PIANOS OF NEW YORK~ 2684 WEST MAIN STREET <br />Next on the agenda was the informal appearance by Supreme Pianos of New York to be <br />able to open a store at 2684 West Main Street. Applicant stated he wanted to have a <br />retail piano shop. It is a small site approximately 1600 sq. ft. He would be selling use <br />and restored pianos. There would not be any work done on site. Mr. Morris stated he is <br />concerned with the loading and unloading of pianos - especially blocking the sidewalk <br />from pedestrian traffic. Mr. McCormick again questioned applicant about the size of the <br />space and cautioned him to make sure it was as large as he thought it was. Mr. Alfonso <br />stated applicant should adhere to 15 minutes or less loading time for blocking sidewalk <br />and Mr. Morris stated applicant should coordinate deliveries and pick up of pianos to off <br />peak time. Mr. Alfonso made a motion to approve the use ora retail store for the sale of <br />used and restored pianos at the above address as discussed, seconded by Mr. McCormick. <br />Unanimously carried. Next the sign was discussed. Applicant showed the Board a <br />sketch of the sign. Mr. Morris stated he liked the design of the sign. Applicant had to fill <br />out an application for the sign - his colors were black and white and he stated there <br />would be no lighting at this time. He would also need the owner's signature for the sign. <br />Ms. Grieg stated she felt the sign would be more legible if the applicant could reduce <br />some of the words on the sign. AT this point Mr. Alfonso made a motion to approve the <br />sign contingent upon Mr. Brutting reviewing the permit when presented and it conformed <br />to code. Motion was seconded by Mr. McCormick. Unanimously carried. <br /> <br />CATALINAS TIENI)A MEXICANA~ 2651 EAST MAIN STREET <br />Next on the agenda was the appearance by Mr. R. Ramierez to be able to use 2651 East <br />Main Street as a Spanish grocery. He stated he would not be changing anything in the <br />store. It would be the exact same type of use as the previous owner. He was just <br />changing the name. Mr. Alfonso made a motion to approve the use of 2651 East Main <br />Street as a Spanish grocery - the same use as the previous owner - seconded by Mr. <br />McCormick. Unanimously carried. Applicant was reminded that he would need a new <br />sign permit for a new sign. <br /> <br />THE ANCHOR PUB~ 2557 SOUTH AVENUE <br />Next on the agenda was the informal appearance of Mr. Doug Frye to discuss repairs to <br />his upstairs apartment at 2557 South Avenue. He stated he was just going to repair what <br />was previously started on the upstairs apartment i.e., steps, railing, sheetrocking, all <br />general renovations - for safety and general maintenance. There will be no change to <br />what is already there. He would be putting in a light on the side of the building where the <br /> <br /> <br />
