Mr. Moran made a motion to approve the sign as presented contingent upon <br />applicant making the correction to the lineal ft. Motion seconded by Mr. McCormick. <br />Unanimously carried. <br /> <br />HELEN PITEO INTERIORS~ 2795 WEST MAIIq STREET <br />Next on the agenda were the proposal from Helen Piteo Interiors for use of 2795 West <br />Main Street for their business and also to discuss signage. She stated they are an Interior <br />Design Consulting Firm - they are private consultants - they do not encourage walk in <br />traffic - basically it is by appointment only - There are three other designers other than <br />herself and an office staff of three. It was stated there would be no change to the parking <br />requirements and it is an allowed use. Mr. Moran made a motion to approve the use as an <br />Interior Design Consulting Firm by appointment only - basically no walk in customers, <br />motion seconded by Mr. Alfonso. Unanimously carded. <br /> <br />Next the sign was discussed. It was stated there would be no lighting on the sign. They <br />just want to identify where they are. She stated the sign would be black with brushed <br />gold lettering. She would provide sample of the brushed gold. Mr. Moran stated that <br />applicant should put her 911 number on the sign and she stated she would put it on the <br />bottom. The sign would be single sided - three feet from building - parallel to the street. <br />Applicant would have to amend her permit to include the correct lineal footage of her <br />building. She stated it was approximately 30 ff. in length. She stated the sign would be <br />adjacent to the little porch area of the building and would not black anything. Mr. <br />Alfonso made a motion to approve the sign contingent upon applicant: updating her <br />application to include the correct lineal frontage, supply sample of gold coloring, submit <br />a hand sketch of where sign will be and only one sign allowed. The sign that was <br />approved for the Physical Therapy cannot be placed there. Motion seconded by Mr. <br />Moran. Unanimously carried. Secretary was instructed to send a note to owner of <br />property stating only one sign can be placed on property. <br /> <br />MARKET STREET INDUSTRIAL PARK <br />Next on the agenda was the proposal for a sign at the entrance to the Market Street <br />Industrial Park. Mr. Fedigan presented the Board with a proposal for a sign. He would <br />like to have permission just for the footings tonight and if need be he would come back <br />next month to review the entire sign. It would be a double sided sign - leading people <br />into the complex - Mr. Morris asked applicant if he had given any thought to down <br />lighting versus up lighting - and applicant stated he would look into this possibility, He <br />also stated that any lighting would be on a timer - probably from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m: <br />It was stated that the Board liked the proposal and design of the sign but they would like <br />to have a better understanding of the exact dimensions of the sign. Mr. Morris suggested <br />that the Board look at this time in two phases - tonight they would talk about the size of <br />the base. Mr. Morris stated that at this time it was difficult to determine the size of the <br />base because the dimensions of the sign were not known. At the next meeting <br /> <br /> <br />
