MINUTES OF PLANNING BOARD <br /> <br />-2- 4/1/04 <br /> <br />only thing that runs is a compressor and it is the type that is very quiet. Their hours of <br />operation are 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. He has about six employees that work for him. Mr. <br />Morris stated that applicant will need a total of 10 parking spaces. Mr. Alfonso asked <br />about any chemicals and applicant answered he operates within OSHA regulations and <br />would provide Board with MSDS sheets for chemicals. He also stated that any waste is <br />pumped out of his machines and picked up by "safety clean." Mr. Morris asked where <br />these chemicals are stored until they are picked up and he answered they would be stored <br />in the rear - inside - (pumped into 15 gallon drums that are sealed). Just as a side note - <br />he was just inspected by NYS Section Part 232 and all was fine. Mr. Morris asked what <br />kind of emissions would be coming from the chimney and applicant answered it is just a <br />boiler. Mr. Morris asked where the trucks would be entering and exiting the parking <br />area to drop off`product and applicant answered they would be loading through a side <br />door (applicant pointed this out on his sketch). Mr. Morris asked what type of trucks <br />would be used and applicant answered standard vans. He also informed applicant that all <br />parking spaces would have to be 9' x 18'. Applicant stated he would like to close by July <br />1, 2004 - his lease on his existing location expires in November 2004. Mr. Mort'is told <br />applicant that they would need a sample of the color he intends to paint the building for <br />their files. He also stated that he plans on enclosing the dumpster with a picket fence <br />with a gate that will match the color of the building. He also stated he would have two <br />dumpsters - one for recyclables and one for regular debris. Mr. Alfonso asked about <br />water usage and informed applicant that he would have to go to the Water Dept. to get a <br />letter of approval from them and also a letter from the Board of Trustees for sewer <br />approval. Mr. Morris stated when applicant supplies the final drawing he would like to <br />run it by the Fire Chief for their approval. Mr. Alexander stated he was concerned about <br />the noise of the equipment and the impact it would have on neighboring residences. Mr. <br />Witkowski stated he would handle conformance to the noise ordinance and if the <br />equipment is too loud applicant will have to do some kind of mitigation for the sound. <br />Ms. Grieg stated this is a Type II action not subject to SEQRA. Mr. Morris stated <br />applicant will have to reapply to the Planning Board formally with the following: (1) <br />updated drawings to show doors and street names, (2) supply MSDS sheets to Board, (3) <br />draw parking on plan to scale and provide 1 handicap parking space, (4) supply Board <br />with paint samples of the building, (5) Send letters to Water Board and Sewer Board, (6) <br />The Planning Board will send letter to Fire Chief. Mr. Morris stated in order to correctly <br />calculate the parking applicant can calculate storage area vs. usage area and document on <br />plan. It was also stated that no windows will be on the residential side of the building. <br />He does not plan to add any additional lighting but if he does - he will have it on a timer. <br /> <br />CHANNINGVILLE ROAD BEHIND OAK TREE GARDEN APARTMENTS <br /> <br />Next on the agenda was an informal discussion with Jeffrey Gorodensky who is <br />representing the owners of a parcel of land adjacent and behind Oak Tree Garden <br />Apartments, 135 Channingville Road - which is zoned R12.5 - questioning the ability to <br />build cluster to~vnhouses instead of single family homes on the parcel. No one was in <br />attendance for this discussion. <br /> <br /> <br />
