Mr. Alexander stated applicant <br />should request a copy of the types of architecture that the Planning Board adheres to. <br />Applicant stated the),, would like to be able to operate 24 hours. After some informal <br />discuxs'iou it was stated that the Planning Board liked the concept of the proposal <br />applicant would have to come back and apply formally to the Board with a full set of <br />draw#kgs' for review. <br /> <br />DEMCO, D/B/A PLANET WINGS, 1546 ROUTE ~ <br />Next ou the agenda was the proposal from Demco, d~/a Planet Wings seeking site plan <br />approval fi~r .ew building at the above address site was previously approved for Kane <br />Motars. It was stated Ihat the previous area variance granted to Kane Motors was <br />trau~ferred to Planet Wings. Applicant stated he had received a copy of the County <br />comments yester&ty and feels he has addressed all issues. It was stated that the previous <br />area variance granted to Kane Motors was transferred to Plant Wings. As far as the <br />recommendatiou regarding street trees- one spaced every 30feet along the frontage of <br />the site applicant ptwvided Board with a sketch of his intention in the frontage. He felt <br />that he couM .ot p.t anything in that grew too large because of the overhead wires and <br />Ms. Grieg suggested applicant talk to Cornell Cooperative Extension for a list of dwarf <br />trees. He would be installing two trees across the front itt the curbed island. It was <br />stetted that the applicant close the two way entrance/exit and relocate it to the rear of the <br />parcel along the access road. Applicant stated that he spoke with the DOT regarding this <br />recommendation. He s'tated that the above wouM not be agreeable to the neighboring <br />property owner (Gino Porco) - and Mr. Morris stated that moving the building is not <br />feasible and therefore relocating the entrance/exit is a mute point. Applicant stated for <br />the record that the DOT./blt the same way. One of the last points was the written <br />approvM from the DOTwhich authorizes encroachment onto its right of way. Applicant <br />stated he had received a verbal approval from DOT for all points and that a DOT permit <br />was being processed. Mt'. Morris stated that all approvals wouM be contingent upon the <br />DOT permit being received. Applicant stated that he had a letter from David A. <br />f erwilliger, Real PS'tare Specialist from the DOT stating that the DOT has reviewed his <br />request to rent land at Route 9 and the access road to the Wappingers Owners Corp. <br />and states that the permit is forthcoming and will comply with all requirements made in <br />the Dutchess (7ounty Plato#rig's letter dated December 3, 2003.
