She stated that she wouM only be doing some internal cosmetic work but <br />wouM stay in touch with Building Inspector to see ifa permit is necessary. She went on <br />to state that the Landlord has informed her that he would be doing some work on the <br />plaza and wouM get the necessary paperwork for his part of the work. After discussion <br />regarding the use it was stated that applicant would have to have a sign permit returned <br />to the Code Enforcement Officer with the owner's signature, she also needed a copy of a <br />signed lease between herself and the landlord and a sketch of the floor plan. The Board <br />would also like an exact color sample of the sign. At this point Mr. Alfonso made a <br />motion to approve the use of the space contingent upon applicant supplying Mr. Kalb all <br />of the above, seconded by Mr. Moran. Unanimously carried <br /> <br />PUPPIES 'R' US, DUTCHESS SHOPPING CENTER <br />Next on the agenda was the informal discussion with Patricia Gibbs for a Pet Store in the <br />Dutchess Shopping Plaza. Ms. Gibbs stated she wouM like to open a pet store. They <br />wouM be selling puppies and supplies. She wouM be taking the space that the <br />Chiropractor has been using. She stated that her hours of operation wouM be Noon to <br />8:00 p.m. from Tuesday through Saturday and Noon to 6:00 p.m. on Sundays - closed on <br />Mondays. She presented the Board with a floor plan of her space and when asked stated <br />that all waste wouM be put in the domestic dumpster provided by the Landlord. Mr. <br />Travis stated that before she begcm operation she needed to get in touch with him and <br />discuss the installation ora hair trap for the drains. She was also informed that she <br />wouM have to get in touch with Mr. Kolb to discuss the need for a buildingpermit for the <br />interior renovations. She stated she has a state license for this operation and would <br />provide a copy of this to the Board. After some informal discussion it was stated that the <br />use is an allowed use for the district andMr. Alfonso made a motion to approve the use, <br />seconded by Mr. Moran contingent upon above items and also stating she needed to <br />provide the Code Enforcement Officer a copy of a signed lease by both herself and <br />Landlord Unanimously carried <br /> <br />Next her sign was discussed She did not have a formal application for the sign but <br />provided the Board with color samples. The Board discussed her sign and stated as long <br />as she provided Mr. Kolb with a signed sign permit (signed by both herself and Landlord) <br />filled out properly including the actual frontage of the building and actual size of the sign <br />- and all conforms to code - they wouM allow Mr. Kolb to give bet a final "OK" on sign. <br />Mr. Alfonso made a motion stating the above, seconded by Mr. Moran. Unanimously <br />carried <br /> <br />BOSTICK SALE& 789 OLD ROUTE 9 <br />Next on the agenda was an informal discussion regarding recent fire at Bostwick Sales <br />and possible reconstruction. Mr. Capelli representing Mr. Bostwick stated that there is a <br />~ acre piece ofpraper~y - the existing main building is almost .5, 000 sq. fl. - the metal <br />building which they use for storage in the rear is about another 1,600 sq. ft. - the <br />building itself (excluding the rear building) is a total loss. Applicant 's first question <br />wouM be is he allowed to buiM on the existingfooq~rint and does he need to come back <br /> <br /> <br />
