MINUTES OF PLANNING BOARD MEETING HELD DECEMBER 7t 2000 <br /> <br />Present: Tom Morris, Acting Chair, John Karge, Rob Alfonso, Floyd Hood, Joe <br /> Consentino <br /> <br />Others Present: <br /> William R. By unanimous vote Mr. Hood was elected <br />Chairman effective in the January meeting. Tom Morris will remain Vice Chair. Mr. <br />Alfonso made a motion to approve the minutes of the previous meeting as written, <br />seconded by Mr. Consentino. On roll call vote - Mr. Hood- Aye, Mr. Alfonso - Aye, Mr. <br />Consentino - Aye, Mr. Karge - Aye and Mr. Morris - Abstain. <br /> <br />BP SERVICE STA TION~ 125 WEST MAIN STREET <br />First on the agenda was the application of Mid Valley Off Company to be able to change <br />the faces of their signs at 125 West Main Street from BP to Exxon. They will be using the <br />same sign frames so the square footage of the signs will not be changing. It will be a one <br />for one (BP for Exxon). It was stated that since Exxon had just acquired Mobil will they <br />be coming back for a new sign and applicant stated in this area they will be operating <br />separately. Mr. Hood made a point of mentioning that the gas station is in a RM-l zone <br />and while he realizes it is grandfathered does the sign also fall under the grandfather <br />clause. It was the concession of the that the sign does fall under the grandfather clause. <br />At this point Mr. Karge made a motion to approve the signs as presented, seconded by <br />Mr. Alfonso. Unanimously approved <br /> <br />Mr. Karge stated while they were on the subject of signs earlier in the evening Mr. <br />Alfonso had pointed out that the sign at the Hess Station on Route 9 is not what the <br />Planning Board agreed to. The Board would like the Zoning Enforcemen( Officer to <br />check into this. <br /> <br />DEBORAH VASOUEZ FOR HOT DOG WAGON ON MEYERS CORNER <br /> <br />ROAD/MARSHALL ROAD <br />Next on the agenda was a letter from the Board of Trustees asking the Planning Board <br />for their recommendation regarding a request from Ms. Deborah Vasquez to be able to <br /> <br /> <br />
