An informational meeting between the Village~ Planning and Zoning Board's <br />was held on Nov. 30, 1976 at 7:00 P.M. in the American Legion Hall. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Synnett, Tr. Dolan, Tr. Alfonsos Tro Lawrence, Tr. Beldin9 <br />Tro O'Rourke and Atty. Lyons. <br /> <br />Plannlng Board.: Mr. Breault, Mr. Epstein, Mr. Delaney and Mr. Bracone. <br /> <br />Zoning Board: Mr. Savelll, Mr. Casey and Mr. VanWagenen. <br /> <br />Mayor Synnett reported Mr. Norman Nusbtckel~ through the Chamber of Commerce~ <br />offered to help with the down town area. He stated our problem was a lack <br />of parking in the central area. Mayor Synnett called for suggestions from <br />those present. <br /> <br />Mr. Breault recommended implementation of tb~ Village Development Plan as <br />presented by our planners some lg years ago. He stated the plans are there <br />and we should inquire as to how to raise funds to provide the necessary <br />parking. <br /> <br />Tr. Lawrence suggested considering off street parking on the land~tween <br />Berinato's store and the Fish stor! on Market St. which would provide <br />a good view of the creek. <br /> <br />Mr. Breault recommended acquiring the old LeMax Pharmacy site fsr parking. <br /> <br />Mr, Savelli reported Village should consider 2 hr. parking in business area <br />and should also make an effort to keep people from leaving junk on the <br />streets. <br /> <br />Mr. Breault suggested Village hire someone to wo~k on Federal funds <br />programs on a regular basis. He recommended consideration for recreational <br />facilities to keep kids off the street <br /> <br />Tr. Dolan reported Village has spent plenty on recreation. <br /> <br />Mr. Savelli reported recreational programs can create problems as it <br />has at St. Mary's. <br /> <br />Mr. Delaney stated Village has to acquire land for parking. <br /> <br />Mr.. Bracone reported groups of kids hanging around discourage women from <br />shopping in the central area. He stated we needed some recreation and <br />suggested consideration of skating program on the lake. <br /> <br />Tr. Belding reported Village have had movie programs, skating parties and <br />other events, but the kids do not cooperate. He stated we have only limited <br />money and keeping the lake clear is expensive. <br /> <br />Mr. Epstein su~2gested working on money problem first, <br /> <br /> <br />
