Mrs. Sarah Francese <br /> <br />Mayor Alexander presented a “Certificate of Recognition” to the son’s of Mrs. Sarah <br />Francese. Mrs. Francese will turn 100 years old this month, accepting the recognition <br />plaque were her son’s Honorable Justice Vincent Francese and two of his brothers Nick <br />and Frank Francese , Rose Horton a sister remained home with Mrs. Sarah Francese. The <br />Board and Public applauded Mrs. Francese on achieving this milestone in her life. <br /> <br />Letter of thanks received from Mr. John Regan former Parks Commissioner. <br /> <br />Mayor Alexander read a letter of thanks for an award presented to Mr. John Regan <br />former Parks Commissioner. Mayor Alexander and others praised Mr. John Regan for all <br />efforts he put forth during his tenure as Parks Commissioner. <br /> <br />Commentary from Trustee Cerino with respect to the planning and dedication of <br />th <br />the Missing in Action (MIA) Park which was dedicated on November 12, 1982. <br /> <br />Trustee Cerino while sorting some documents and records of his Mother the late Mrs. <br />Josephine F. Riley found a complete record of the MIA (Missing in Action) initial park <br />th <br />proposal through final completion November 12, 1982. Trustee Cerino relinquished <br />these records to the safe keeping of the Village and made them available for public <br />review as well as historical preservation. Trustee Cerino was applauded for his kind and <br />generous contribution. <br /> <br />Mayor Alexander expressing thanks to Mr. John (Jack) Fedigan of the <br />Businessmen’s and Professional’s Association and the Village Civic Association for <br />their contributions to the betterment of the Village. <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor Alexander attended a meeting held by the Businessmen’s and Professional’s <br />Association in December. Mayor Alexander pointed out that a change in leadership took <br />place during the Election of Officer’s portion of the meeting. Mr. Paul Haynes was <br />elected as President replacing long term incumbent President Mr. John (Jack) Fedigan. <br />Mayor Alexander while wishing Mr. Haynes much success with his new position thanked <br />Mr. Fedigan for all his efforts put forth during his tenure. The Mayor pointed out several <br />of Mr. Fedigans many accomplishments such as annual Christmas Decorations and <br />Village Wide Sweep. Mayor Alexander also thanked the Civic Association for all of their <br />kind efforts pointing out most recently the Ice Rink on North Mesier Avenue at Vet’s <br />Field. <br />Page 1 of 4 <br /> <br />
