Regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on 3-13-85 at 7:30 P 24. in the American Legion Hall. Present: Mayor Synnett't Tr. Greeo, Tr. Cioppat Tr. Costa, Tr. Mazochi~. Tr. Careyt Tr. Boyle and Atty. Reilly. Mayor Synnett asked a moment of silent prayer be observed in memory of Douglas Heady, local newspaper reported and Recreation enthuasist, who recently passed away. Minutes: Minutes of a Public Hearing and regular meetin9 held 2-13-85~ workshop session held on 2-19-85 & 2-28-85 had been duplicated and previously presented to Board members. Hotion by Tr. Mazochi, seconded by Tr. Carey that the above minutes be acceped as written. Carried. ~enda: Report on CATV Franchise renewal: Mr. Howard Erichson, CATV representativet reported franchise expired and they needed some action approving renewal as soon as possible. Atty. Reilly reported proposals submitted by Vilkage were not acceptable to CATV officials. Mr. Erichson reported proposal is improvement over past franchise as fee has been increased to Village. He stated they were starting new conetruction at the site which would provide better service and signal quality would be better. Tr. Greco reported CATV could raise the rates anytime and Mr. Hrichson replied company could raise rate 5% each year but renewal provides for 6 mo. prior notification of franchise renewal Discussion followed on renewal of franchise. Motion by Tr. Cioppa~ seconded by Tr. Carey that the Village offer CATV a 3 yr. contract with a 3 % option. Roll call vote: All in favor. Motion by Tr. Cioppa, seconded by Tr. Carey that the Village advertise competitive bids for a new CATV franchise should proposal be tur~ed down; provided ample time is given to respond. Roll call vote: All in favor.
