The regularly scheduled meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was <br />held on Wednesday, June 26~1985 at 7:30 p.m. at the Village Offices on <br />Spring Street. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Synnett, Trustees Boyle, Cioppa, Costa, Greco, and <br />Komornik (Tr. Schinella was unable to attend.) <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Greco, seconded by Tr. Cioppa to accept minutes of last <br />Board meeting. -carried. <br /> <br />A number of residents were present to address the ~oard in reference to <br />problems that had devel0Ped in the Nelson Ave. area in conjunction with <br />the Tri-Municipal Project Contract 16A. <br /> <br />Mr. William Maxcojohn, Nelson Ay,mu. stated that 'in his opinion the road <br />was pitched t he wrong way and must be fixed. <br /> <br />Mayor Synnett stated that Mrs.' Brown and the Fredericks have the sa~e <br />problem. <br /> <br />Tr. ~reco reported that apparently the surface on the west side had been <br />raised 6" while the roadbed on the east side had bee~ cut 4 or 5 inches, <br />which will now leaves more of the curbing exposed and will necessitate <br />curb cuts; which cuts will cause additional run-off onto homeowners <br />property. <br /> <br />The Mayor recommended that the street be ripped up and done over. <br /> <br />Mr. Walter Masch, 20 North Streets stated that he was never notified by <br />the Contractor, Lombardisabon$ any work taking place adjacent to his <br />property; that they were not cleaning up debris as they shoutd and that <br />the 5" blacktop ramp at his driveway was totally inadequate and make <br />access difficult for his two tenants. <br /> <br />Tr. Greco also mentioned that silt lay in the gutters where there was <br />insufficient gravity for~k~ water to flow into the grates. <br /> <br />Tr. Costa asked who was responsible for the problems developing. <br /> <br />The M~yor said that the road was just put in, it was not done by the <br />Village but by the Tri-Municipal contractors Lombardi and Clove~ that <br />the water valves had not been raised as required and that the manholes <br />needed collars. He stated t~at the Board would get back in t ounh with <br />the property owners after they had time to consult with the Tri-Municipal <br />engineers. <br /> <br />Mr. Raffaele, North Street, stated that the ground was never tamped <br />when t he pipes were lay. d; he further stated that previous difficulties <br />with storm water would now be compounded. <br /> <br />Tr. Greco inquired as to who set the elevation? <br /> <br />Mr. Marcojohn stated that Mr. Lapax sho~ the grades. <br /> <br /> <br />
