An Informational meeting was held on 7-17-85 at 7100 P.H. to discuss <br />complaints concerning the Texaco station at the corner of Nest Hain St. <br />and Clinton St. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Synnett~ Tr. Cioppa, Tr. Costa~ Tr, Ko~ornik, Tr. Boyle, <br />~r. Schinella and Atty. Reilly. <br /> <br />A~so Present: Zoning Enforcement O£ficer Haubennestel, Deputy Zoning Officer <br />Greco, Planning Chairman Yalachovic, Planning Board member Neumann, Zoning <br />Board Chairman Savelli, Planning Board member Eagen. ' <br /> <br />Residents in the area were notified o~ the meeting by mail. <br /> <br />Tr. Cioppa reported neighbors conta=~ted t~e trusses as they wefts concerned <br />with problems at the above business, <br />He read letter from Ray and aarbara:iHughes, Clinton St,, who were on <br />vaction) outlining violations whiCh[exist. <br />He stated ne,ting was dalled to heaT both sides and reach a solution. <br /> <br />Deputy Zoning O~ficer Greco reported she, and the Zoning Officer, m~de an <br />inspection of the premises and submitted report to Village Attorney. <br />She outlined items which were being;sold in tbs station. <br /> <br />~tr. Haubenneste1 reported nothing m~ch has developed and problems have <br />been extended over a long period of time. <br />He reported meeting with representatives Of Spain Oil who were interested <br />in taking'over the business and restrictions on a Certificate of Occupancy <br />were discussed. <br />Mr, Haubennestel reported he met with their attorney, Mr. ~reg Supple, and <br />conditions for the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy were discussed <br />then and by follow up letters whichl;he read. <br /> <br />· r. Costa inquired if any Violationb existed after inspection of the premises <br />and Mrs. ar,co replied yesl there were lg cars on the premises. <br /> <br />Mr. Savelli~. discussed past history of this property and stated~t it was <br />tried to sell property for a 7-11 store. <br />Mr, Savelli reported they were allowed to sell gasoline and make minor <br />repairs.and these conditions existed when ~etty bought the business. <br /> <br />Mr. Supple reported property was ugh-confOrming use and they planned to <br />continue to use the property as it was, He stated they requested change of <br />the premises and same. was approved by ~h~e Planning Bd. but revoked by the <br />Zoning Bnforcement Officer. <br />Mr. Supple~stated they ware concerned with the complaints of the neighbors. <br /> <br />Mr. James Alfonso, 18 Clinton St., reported station was first opened by. <br />Ga,land to be run strictly as a gas station. He stated property wqs sold <br />to be run strictly as a gas station. Mr. Alfonso reported new owner needed <br />other income so light mechanical work was permitted. <br />,e stated they ~ow were doing heavy necbanical work, bringinV in cars <br /> after hours a nd he was against wbat was going om. <br /> <br /> <br />
