J? <br /> <br /> The Regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held <br />on Wednesday~ August 14,1985 at 7:30 p.m. at the Village Hall on <br />Spring Street. < <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Synnett~ Trustees Boyle, Cioppa, Costa, Gre¢o, and <br />Kormornikl also present: Att'y Reilly, Engineer Lapar~ Water Comm. <br />Berinato, and Zoning Board of Appeals Chairman Savelli. <br /> <br />Minutes: Motion by Tr, Greco, seconded by Tr. Costa that the. minutes <br />of the previous Board meeting be approved -carried. <br /> <br />-the Board'decided ~o suspend the agenda in order t o receive comments <br />from various members of the general public pre se~Z. <br /> <br />Delavergne Ave.: The Mayor advised Ms. DiPolit° that the water line <br />was to be installed the next day; ap~t that a "punchlist!' was being <br />prepared to addressthe problems caused by the recent floodin9, <br /> <br />Mr. Marcojohn presented pictures of the conditions resulting'~om the <br />flooding and requested to meet with the T~i-Municipal Commission, He <br />also asked whether Nelson Ave. was not supposed to have been widened. <br />Tr. Cioppa informed Mr, Marcojohn that T/M generally met on ~he <br />first Thursday of each month~ but he wasn't certain of that any more, <br />and that he considered the last meeting held to have been illegal· <br />Mr. Masch stated that there was sti~l mud in his yards and that the <br />contractor had never cleaned the parking area· <br />Mr. Raffaele stated that he was still dissatisfied with the Neso~ution <br />reached with the T~wn of Pouohkeepsie on the persistent floodlnO. He <br />stated that the agreement specified no starting date and was in effect <br />"a trip to nowhere". <br /> <br />Att'y Reilly stated that the attorneys handling that matter were <br />McCabe and Mack, and that the agreement stipulated that work would <br />staat when funding was secured. <br /> <br />Tr. Greco stated that the Town of Poughkeepsie was in the pro.ess of <br />setting up drainaged istrictsthroug~ out the Town, 'though he was <br />unaware of what pxI)ortionate share of the moneys would be designated <br />for the Delavergae Ave. area problem. <br /> <br />The Board requested Att'y Reilly to contact McCabe & Mack for an <br />up',ate as to the Town's compliance with the stipulation. <br /> <br />Mr.-Mareojohn asked if a lawyer would be present at the next T/M <br />meet ing· ~ <br /> <br />The Mayor said the Commission attorney would be present. <br /> <br />Ms. DiPolito said that she had invited representatives from {/M to <br />inspect the premises, but nobody came· She also asked ~hether the <br />ditch would be repaired. <br /> <br />The Mayor said it would be blacktopped after installation of the <br />water line· <br /> <br /> <br />
