An Informational meeting was held on Aug. 20, 1985 at ?tOO P.M. to <br />discuss problems and complaints regarding the A.M. Kennedy property <br />on Fulton Street° <br /> <br />Presentt Mayor Synnett, Tr. Graco, Tr. Costa, Tr. Komornik, Tr/ Boyle, <br />Attyo Reilly, Zoning Officer Haubennestel, Deputy Zoning <br />Oreco, Piannlng Board members John Berinato and John Karge, Zoning <br />Board members Joel Neumann and Frank Sabelli, Roy C. Hetcham and <br />residents of the area. <br /> <br />Clerk read copies of complaint letters from area residents citing problems <br />which state exist at the trucking firm, <br /> <br />Jackie Traver displayed pictures showing the trucks in violation at <br />various positions in the lot and out. '~ <br /> <br /> Mrs Michael Hendrick, City of Poughkeepsie Policeman and resident of W. <br /> Academy St., reported neighborhood was quiet when he moved in; He stated <br /> it was now becoming progressively worse due to the violations of tractor <br /> trailer trucks. He discussed violations of tractor trailer trucks backing <br /> up and recommended Polic~ Department or. orca laws <br />· Mr. Hendrick reported there should be a clause under non-conforming that <br /> the operation could not be expanded and also two companies were operating <br /> out of the same lot. (A.M. Kennedy & Mid-Hudson Moving and Sto~eage). <br /> He stated operation has been extended as they were housing trucks for two <br /> separate ccrporationsj Mrs Hendrick reported there were violations of <br /> the Zoning ordinance as they were not conforming. <br /> <br />Mtso Lyons, resident o~ Wo Academy St., reported present use far exceeds <br />original intent and there were problems with the trucks on W~ Academy St. <br /> <br />Mrs. Traver reported other trucks were working at night and they were <br />sanding and fixing cars at night. <br /> <br />A resident reported, until yesterday, grounds' had not been maintained)&nd <br />5 unregistered cars on property have been removed,yesterday. She stated <br />unsightly boxes are used for storeage and inquired if Zoning Officer <br />requested any action be taken as to cleaning up the a rea. <br /> <br />Mr. Haubennestel replied he did not request any action be taken and his <br />file was open to anyone who wanted to inspect same° He stated there was <br />nothing against storeage boxer in the Zoning Ordinance. <br /> <br />Mrs. Graco reported no noti~ had been sent. <br /> <br />Resident inquired if owner~ tried to renedy the violations. <br /> <br />Mr. Hendrick inquired if certificate of legal non-conformity hwd been <br />filed with ~he Village and was told nco <br /> <br />Mayor Synnett reported we were trying to resolve problems on behalf of <br />the residents in the neighborhoods and he hoped something could be worked <br />out to protect the children. <br /> <br /> <br />
