The regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on Wednesday, <br />3-12-86 at 7:30 P.M. in the Village Hall. <br /> <br />Present: Acting Mayor Costa, Tr. Greco, Tr. Komornik, Tr. Cioppa, Tr. Schinella <br />and Atty. Reilly. Mayor S~mnett absent due to illness. <br /> <br />Minutes: <br />Minutes of two public hearings and the regular meeting held 2-12-86 and <br />minutes of a public hearing and regular meeting held 2-26-86 had been <br />duplicated and previously presented to Board members. <br /> <br />Tr. Cioppa reported one correction: Onder Tri-Municipal report should read <br />$190,O00. funding rather than $90,000. <br /> <br />Motiom by Tr, Tr. Komornik, seconded by Tr. Cioppa that the above minutes <br />be ~ccepted as written and corrected. Carried. <br /> <br />A3e nda: <br /> <br />Report on land purchases relatin9 to the proposed Rte. 9 .pro~ect and DOT: <br /> <br />Tr. Greco reported that, in conjunction with. the proposed Rte. 9 project, <br />D.O.T. offered settlement and summary of Appraised Compensation for the <br />following parcels owned by the Village of Wappingers of Wappingers Falls: <br />Parcels 78~79 P.E., Maps 61, 62 for the amount of $6200. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Cioppa, seconded by Tr. Greco that the above offer from DOT <br />for those parcels of land at the south east of the bridge be approved. <br />Carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Cioppa, seconded by Tr. Komornik that the Mayor be authorized <br />to sign the necessary documents in reference to the above. Carried. <br /> <br />Report on proposed contract with the veterinerian for do9 pick up: <br />~r. Greco reported Village should execute &'contract with veterinarian on <br />storeage of dogs when they are picked up by Dog Warden. <br /> <br />Referred to Village Attorney for further ~tudy. <br /> <br />Set dates to review budget r.equests: March 19, 1986 - 7100 P.M. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Cioppa, seconded by Tr. Komornik that the restrictions of use <br />of water, caused by the drought~ be lifted. Carried. <br /> <br />Tr. Cioppa reported he met with Justice Chase and discussed possible program <br />whereby defendents would be sentenced to Recreation Community service <br />rather than fine or probation. He stated this would be under the direct <br />supervision of the Highway Supt. <br /> <br />Atty. Reilly stated we should have something in writing from Dutchess County <br />regarding insurance before entering into such a program. <br /> <br /> <br />
