The regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on Wednesday, <br />May 28,1986 at 7:30 p.m. at the American Legion Hall on Spring Street. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Synnett, Trustees Alfonso, ~reco, K~nornik, Schinella, <br /> Silvestri, and Tod~ro; <br /> Also present: Att'y Viglotti, Superintendent Herring, and <br /> Fire Inspector Galioto <br /> <br />The Mayor reported that there was a letter frcm Mrs DiMarco suggesting that <br />t]]e Board recommend the County Planning Department consider the feasibility <br />of a thoroughfare frc~ Route 84 to the River Road. <br />Motion by Tr. Komornik, seconded by Tr. Alfonso that the matter be referred <br />to the Dutchess County Dept. of Planning -carried. <br /> <br />The Mayor also stated that Mr. D/Marco was fthrt_her concerned about air traffic <br />patterns over the Village. <br />Motion by Tr. Alfonso, seconded by Tr. Todaro that the Village Attorney be <br />directed to write the D.C. Legislature airport cc~mittee requesting they <br />review flight paths over the Village -carried. <br /> <br />Tr. Alfonso stated that the open informational m~cting at sponsored by the <br />Republican party at the W.T.Garner firehouse was a success in eliciting <br />comments fron the public on Village concerns, and said that a second re,acting <br />was scheduled for the S.W.Jobnson firehouse for June 18th at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />'fr. Komornik mentioned that there were illegal curb-cut all over tJ]e Village, <br />but particularly in the second ward in the course of residents turning the <br />front yards into parking areas, and that it looked terrible. <br />The Mayor stated that the Zoning Enforcement Officer of the Superintendent <br />should make a tour and report back to the Board. <br /> <br />Conmittee Reports: <br /> <br />Tr. Greco said that he was checking with Assessor Walker re the Vietnam <br />Veteran' s exemption. <br /> <br />He furtJ%er stated that the telephone at Temple field was being removed at <br />the re~dation of the Recreation Committee as it was unnecessary; but <br />that the 'phone at Vet's was being retained. <br /> Tr. Silvestri stated that he had still not heard from the Ccmm~ittee re <br />any planned activities for the s~]~r. <br /> <br /> The Mayor stated that in lieu of the picnic in the park, he had arranged <br />for a concert at the bandstand in the park to be held August 22nd. He <br />stated that he had other concerts planned and requested to cover any ~scella- <br />neous expenses cut of the Mayor's budget ac<xxa%t. <br /> Tr. Alfonso inquired about recent a expenditure for the gazebo. The <br />Mayor stated that that was for roof lathes. There followed sce~ discussion <br />of the gazebo account. <br /> <br />New Water Rates: <br /> <br />Tr.
