The regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held cn <br />Wednesday, June 11,1986 at 7:30 p.m. at the American Legion Hall on <br />Spring Street. <br /> <br /> Present: Mayor Synnett, Trustccs Alfonso, Greco, Kcmornik, Schinella, <br />Silvestri, and Todaro; also Atty Viglotti and Superintendent Herring. <br /> <br /> Att'y Viglotti informed the Board that he had.advised the Town of <br />Poughkeepsie Attorney of the Town's responsibilities re animal control <br />under the state Africulture and Markets law and was awaiting a response. <br /> Tr. Silvestri stated that the Town of Poughkeepsie should be picking <br />up dogs running loose in the First Ward, as the Town collects the license <br />fees. Councilman Darrow stated that the Town had recently hired a part-time <br /> ' warden. <br />~. Greco stated that in the inter/m, the Village should have an <br />agrc~ent with Dr. Hannigan, similar to that of the Town of Wappinger. <br /> <br /> Tr. Greco reported that t~e Water Board bad clarified~the new rate <br />schedule; the new rate fro Mt. Alvernia being $15.00 base. <br /> <br />Berkeley Square: <br /> Mr. Charles May, with Marvin Ross, and Chuck Krieger addressed the <br />Board re the proposed Berkeley Square apartment project. Mr. May stated <br />that they had ~n to the Planning Board with preliminary designs approx- <br />imately six months; and that the Planning Board had referred them to the <br />Water Board and the Village Board for water and ~ service respectively, <br />and requested they return with a site plan. The proposed development would <br />be at Ashley Grdns. Mr. May further stated that they were in negotiations <br />with the Imperial Grdns Co. for connection to sewer service through <br />Imperial Boulevard, and a maintenance agreement re same. <br /> <br /> Tr. Silvestri stated t_hat Imperial Bldv. was a private road and had <br />never bccn accepted by the Village as the drains were not built to spec. <br /> <br /> Mayor Synnett stated that Ken Russ was also talking to Imperial re <br />se~er connection for the 156 units he plans to build. <br /> <br /> Tr. Schinella stated that this represents significant development <br />when considered in light of the plans to further,develop the Marshall <br />property which would overtax that area lines. He stated the proposal <br />should be referred back to the Planning Board for review of a tentative <br />site plan. <br /> <br /> Tr. Silvestri asked what the est/mated flow rate was for the 137 units. <br /> Mr. May said 40,000 gpd. s. <br /> Tr. Greco stated Ken Russ estimated 37,500 for 156 units; he further <br />stated that the Board would take no action on approving sewer service until <br />the Planning Board had cuL~leted its review. He noted that there were <br />current probl~ with water pressure in that area, and that the present <br />sewer lines were already close to capacity. <br /> <br /> Tr. Schinella asked who were the owners of the p~oject. <br /> <br /> Mr. May said there were three owners; Malcolm Brill of Brill-Tishman, <br />which owned Ashley, was participating. <br /> <br /> Tr. Schinella observed that there were no hydrants designated on the <br />plans. <br /> <br /> <br />
