A Norkshop session to discuss a proposed Zoning Ordinance filed in 1975 <br />was held on Oct, 4, 1978 at 7:00 P.M. in the American .Legion Hall, <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Synnett~ Tr. Alfonso~ Tr. Schinella & Atty. Lyons. <br /> <br />Planning Board: Chaixman Gerard McCluskey, Warren Short & Tony Valachovic, <br /> <br />Zoning Board: Chairman Frank Savelli~ George Casey & Robert Smith, <br /> <br />Zonin9 Enforcement Officer John Haubermestel, <br /> <br />Atty, Lyons reported he investigated the records and had no recollection <br />of the above mentioned proposed Zoning Ordinance, <br />He stated that du~ing the p~riod d 1973 to 1975~ the Village did <br />participate, along with 5 other mun&iipalities~ in a 701 Program grant <br />sponsored by the Housing and Urban Development Act, <br />Atty, Lyons reported purpose of the program was to adopt a Comprehensive <br />Plan and one phase was to draft a Zoning Ordinance to correlate with the <br />Plan, <br />He stated proposal was drafted but didnft differ that much from the present <br />Zoning Ordinance, <br />Arty, Lyons reported Zoning Maps were identical as to districts and the <br />only significant change was in the text of the Ordinance, <br />He stated there was no sufficient advantage to change as the present Zoning <br />Ordinance was workable, <br /> <br />Zoning Er~orcement O~flcer Haubennestel stated he had no problems with <br />erLforcin9 the present Zoning Ordinance. <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons reported several amendments have been adopted since the Zoning <br />Ordinance had been enacted in 1970 and printed supplements should be <br />inserted in chronological order, <br />He stated there were also 3 or 4 changes in the boundaries of the Zoning <br />Districts and Zoning Mapwould have to be updated, <br /> <br />Zoning Enforcement Officer Haubennestel reported proposed Zoning Ordinance <br />was sent to the Vilhge Board for in~or~ation onlyo <br /> <br />Ma~or Slmnett stated it was the consensus of opinion of the ~jozity <br />present that the Village continue to operate under the present Zoning <br />Ordinance, <br /> <br />Tr. Schinella reported only way to make a complete evaluation of the <br />proposed ordinance was to read same word for word. <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons reported VilLage prevlously adopted a Flood Control Ordinance <br />which would be different thai the one made part of the proposed O~dinanee <br />drafted in 1975. <br /> <br /> <br />
