The second monthly meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on Wednesday, <br />June 24, 1992 at 7:30 P.M. in the Village Hall. <br /> <br />Present: .~ayor .Hinzmann, Tr. Napoleon, Tr. D~zio, Tr. Ward, Tr. Bain, <br />Tr. Usavich and Atty. Viglotti. <br />Absent: Tr. Kcmornik. <br /> <br />Minutes: <br />Minutes of last regular meeting held 5-12-92 and the second monthly meeting he'Id <br />5-27-92 had been duplicated and previously presented to Board members. <br /> <br />Action on above minutes deferred until the next regular Village Board meeting. <br /> <br />~roval of Playground Personnel and salaries: <br />The REcreation Commission recc~n~nds the following be hired as Senior Ccuncellor <br />and associates for the S~-~¥~r program: <br /> <br />Janice VanPelt ($8.75 per hr.), Elmer Belding ($5.75 per hr.), Bernadette Goebel ($5.25 <br />per hr.), .Mary M~rcojohn ($5.00 p er hr.), Dana Laffin ($5.00 per hr.) <br /> <br />..Motion by! Tr. D~zio, seconded by Tr. Bain that the above be ratified. Carried. <br /> <br />Request frcm P4r. John Scianna for a PEDDLER"S PE~ilT: <br /> <br />Mr. Scianna reported he has a hot dog cart and would like to vend same at the various <br />functions at the Parks. <br />He stated he would like operation to be flexible so he could move frc~a place to <br />place throughout the Village. <br /> <br />Tr. Bain reported local law governing this subject was specific and the reason <br />was to discourage transient vending in the Village. <br /> <br />Mr. Scianp~ reported he ~uld 1Lke to solic it the Park when events are happening. <br /> <br />Atty. Viglotti reported it was illegal to solicit or operate a vending business <br />in the Village without a license and, if conditions were met, a license could be <br />issued which has to be renewed yearly. <br /> <br />Discussion followed on restrictions outlined in local law. <br /> <br />There were no apparant objections as long as the cart was not being peddled on <br />Village streets. <br /> <br />~r. Sciannastated he just wanted 9ermit for his property and Park functions. <br /> <br />Atty. Viglotti stated that, if license is is.~ed, it wouldmxpire Jan. 1st and, <br />if permission is granted to vend at .special Park events, it would be with the <br />stipulation that the sponsor does not object to the cu~oetition. <br /> <br />~4otion by Tr. D~zio, seconded by Tr. Shay tbmt Mr. John Scianna be issued a <br />Peddler's Permit for a hot dog cart with the condition that same be vended at tb~ <br />Village park, if and when same does not interfere with funding raising activities, <br />and on his own property at 69 South Ave. Carried. All voting in favor. <br /> <br /> <br />
