A special meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on May 1, 1980 at 7:00 P.M. in the American Legion Hall for the purpose of adonting the 1980-81 Village budget. Present: Mayor Synnett, Tr. Dolan, Tr. Moruzzi, Tr. Silvestri, Tr. Costa, Tr. DiGregorio, Tr. Viglottl, Atty. Lyons and Treasurer Campilii. Treasurer Campilii discussed the foll~ing changes in the proposed budget: Engineer - increased $5,000. Insurance - increased $6,000. Police budget increased Highway Dept. decreased Snow Removal set at $8,000. Street Lighting decreased $600f Library increased $1,000. Senior Citizens allocatted $1,000. Refuse and Garbage allocatted $62,000. He reported expenditures rises to approximately $760,000. with a cash surplus at approximately $222~000. He stated same was a realistic budget. Atty. Lyons reported th~t~ before any action can be taken, the notice to conduct a special meeting must be waived with ? affirmative votes. Motion by Tr. DiGregorio, seconded by Tr. Moruzzi that notice of special meeting be waived. Tr. Dolan voted nay. Disucssion followed. Atty. Lyons reported Village must adopt budget on or before 5-1-80 and if no action is taken, preliminary budget would be valid. Tr. Dolan reported nothing was being done right. Motion by Tr. Moruzzi, seconded by Tr. DiGregorio that notice of special meetin9 be waived. Carried. All voting in favor. Motion by Tr. Silvestri, seconded by Tr. DiGregorio that the 1980-81 preliminary budget be adopted. Roll call vote: Tr. Mor~zmi (aye), Tr. Viglotti (abstain), Tr. Costa (aye), Tr. DiGregorio (aye)~ Tr. Silvestri (aye), Tr. Dolan (aye), Motion carried. Motion by Tr. DiGregorio, seconded by Tr. Silvestri that meeting adjourn. Carried. 7:30 P.M. Budget in its entirety follows th~ minutes of this meeting. Village Clerk
