/2 0 <br /> <br />Regular meeting o£ the Village Board of Trustees was held on Wednesday, <br />June 11, 1980 at 7:00 P.M. in the American Legion Hallo <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Synnett~ Tr. Dolan, Tr. Moruzzi, Tro Silvestri~ Tr. Costa, <br />Tr. DiGregorio, Tr. Viglotti and Atty. Lyons. <br /> <br />Mayor Synnett requested a moment of silent prayer be observed in memory <br />of Earl Laffin and William Delaney~ former area firemen, who recently <br />passed away. <br /> <br />Agend~ <br /> <br />Report on Spring clean ,up days: <br />Mayor Synnett reported he has received calls as people were cleanin9 their <br />yards~, <br /> <br />Tr. DiGregorlo reported Public Works Com~. has debated the issue and <br />suggested starting as soon as possible. <br />He stated Town of Wapplnger had asked the Village to set clean up in <br />conjunction with theirs~ but that wouldn't be until Augusto <br />Tr. DiGregorio reported he contacted Mr. Alexander and Village could <br />dump at his site for $10,o0 per load. He stated the following schedule <br />has been set for clean upl <br />2nd Ward: June 23rd and 24th <br />3rd-Ward: June 25~ 26, & 27th <br />1st Ward: June 30%h & July 1st. ~-- <br /> <br />Tr. DiGregorio reported Village would possibly have to lease a lar~er <br />truck and 2 part time helpers would be employed. <br /> <br />Report on appointment of Recreation Chairman: <br />Mayor Synnett reported there was no chairman and committee should be <br />setting up duties. <br /> <br />Tr. DiGregorio reported this was being done and he met with Recreation <br />Director. He stated Recreation chairman hasntt been selected but a <br />meeting of the Recreation Comission is scheduled for this 'Friday. <br /> <br />Mayor Synnett suggested Recreation Com~iSsion members should select <br />meeting nights. <br /> <br />Meeting went out of the regular order of business to hear guests. <br /> <br />Mr, Lawrence Cioppa, North St., read the foll0~in9 p~tition which <br />contained 312 names: <br /> <br />We, the undersigned, petition the Mayor and the Trustees of our Village <br />to take immediate action to improve conditions at Canale Park.
