Special meeting of the Village Board off Trustees was held on 6-30-80 at. <br />7:00 P~M. in the American Legion Hall. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Synnett, Tr. Dolan~ Tr. Moruzzi~ Tr0 Silvestri~ Tr. Digregorlo <br />and Atty. Lyons. <br /> <br />Also present: Engineers Paggi & Martin. <br /> <br />Mr. Pardee~ President off W.T. Garner Engine Co.~ discussed repairs to the <br />Fire House. He stated material has been delivered ar~t ramp has been torn up. <br />He reported company was interested in purchasing a piece of proper.~y ad~olning <br />Fire House for an addition. He stated Village now pays for heat~ water, <br />maintenance and insurance on 2 buildings and with the addition everything <br />woutd be conso~idated into one. <br /> <br />Mr. O'Connor provided a sketch of the addition stating sa~e would consist of <br />2 bays with no cellar. He stated present bldg. is outmoded and an addition <br />would be in the best interest of the Fire Department and the Village. <br /> <br />Mr. Pardee reported present bldg. would be extended 10 <br /> <br />Tr. Moruzzi suggested Fire Co,mi:tee and engineers investigate this proposal <br />and make recommendations. <br /> <br />Mr. Pardee reported roof leaks and they had just installed a new roof. <br /> <br />Tr. DiGregorio inquired as to additional price to complete ~ob at the G~rner <br />Fire House. <br /> <br />Mr. Paggi reported he contacted William Man/redi Construction Corp. and <br />received the £ollowing estimates: <br /> <br />1. Complete construction of concrete apron: $1,085. <br />2. Brick veneer of proposed block wall: $1,530.1 which doesn't include <br /> cost off'the brick. <br />3. Grading and refinishing existing concrete floor: $935.00. <br /> <br />He stated total cost, including block wall, would be $5,680. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Moruzzi~ seconded by Tr. Costa that 'the Mayor be authorized to <br />execute contract with Man£redl Construction ¢o~. for the above repairs <br />with exception of the grinding of the floor. Carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Lafko, president of Atlas Water Co., present. <br />Also present: ~ater Commissioners Catalano, Berinato and Chase. <br /> <br />Mayor Synnett reported there was a serious water situation as a well <br />was being refurbished and water pressure was low. He stated well was back <br />in service but sol:net was inoperative. <br /> <br /> <br />
