<br /> <br />Minutes following the 07/08/09 Village Board Meeting <br /> <br /> <br />NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />VILLAGE OF WAPPINGERS FALLS <br /> <br />T <br />HE CHAIR DECLARED THE PUBLIC HEARING OPEN <br /> <br />C <br />LERK READ PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE <br /> <br />The Village of Wappingers Falls will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday the 8th of <br />July, 2009 at 7:00 P.M. at 7 Spring Street, Village of Wappingers Falls. This Public <br />Hearing will be to discuss Local Law # 6 for the Year 2009, Amending Chapter 146 of <br />the Code of the Village of Wappingers Falls regarding Wappingers Lake. <br /> <br />At such time and place all persons interested in the subject matters thereof will be heard <br />concerning the same. <br /> <br />Mayor Alexander opened the public hearing allowing Village Attorney Viglotti to <br />comment. Attorney Viglotti said this local law will appeal a previously approved local <br />law which banned keeping fish caught to be consumed. Trustee Visentin said he <br />contacted DEC and they confirmed the fish in the Wappinger Creek and Lake are fine for <br />human consumption. One issue was also that by maintaining fish and release, grants may <br />be easier to obtain, as it turned out that was not the case. Mayor Alexander asked if there <br />were any questions from either the public or board. None replied. <br /> <br />Motion by Trustee Cerino to close the 7/8/09 Public Hearing. Seconded by Trustee <br />Calabrese. Carried. <br /> <br />T <br />HE CHAIR DECLARED THE PUBLIC HEARING OPEN <br /> <br />C <br />LERK READ PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE <br /> <br />The Village of Wappingers Falls will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday the 8th of <br />July, 2009 at 7:15 P.M. at 7 Spring Street, Village of Wappingers Falls. This Public <br />Hearing will be to discuss Local Law # 7 for the Year 2009, Regulation of Alarm <br />Devices and Systems within the Village of Wappingers Falls. <br /> <br />At such time and place all persons interested in the subject matters thereof will be heard <br />concerning the same. <br /> <br />Mayor Alexander opened the public hearing. Village attorney Viglotti explained the <br />purpose of the proposed local law. The law will require businesses or residents to pay a <br />fine when a false alarm is sounded and emergency vehicles and personnel respond a <br />second time.
