A special meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on g-M-80 <br />at 7:30 P.M. in the American Legion Hall. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Synnett, Tr. Moruzzi, Tr. Silvestrt, Tr. Costa, Tr. <br />DiGregorio, Tr. Viglotti & Atty. Lyons. <br /> <br />Also present: Mr. Paul L. Banner, representative to Sen. Rolison~ <br />Assemblyman Warren, County representatives Pagones and White, <br />D.O.T. representatives Mr. Wells & Mr. Her and Engineers Paggl & <br />Martin. <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons reported Village must adopt a resolution authorizing <br />expenditure of the Capitol Reserve fund. He stated anyone could <br />submit a petition for a referendum within 30 days of publication <br />and same would require 20~ of all the people who voted in the last <br />annual Village election. <br /> <br /> The following resolution was offered by Tr. Costa, who moved its <br />adoption, seconded by Tr. Viglottl. to wit: <br /> <br /> A resolution authorizing the expenditure of the balance on deposit <br />in a capital reserve fu~d established for a municipal building. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by prior action of this Board a capital reserve fund has <br />been established for a municipal building, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there is n~ on deposit in such fund the sum of $11,832.51, <br />including interest accrued to the date hereof, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Board desires to purchase a parcel of land described <br />as follows: <br /> <br /> ALL that lot or parcel of land situate in the Village of Wappingers <br />Falls, Town of WaPpinger, Dutchess County, New York~ <br /> BEGINNING at the southwest corner of South Avenue and Academy <br />Street, and running thence westerly alo~ the south line of Academy <br />Street north 64 degrees 48 minutes west 150 feet to land formerly <br />of William T. Gaxner; thence south 25 degrees 12 minutes west along <br />said land 50 feet to ~he northwest corner of land sold ~o Clinton <br />Clapp; thence south 64 degrees~ 48 minutes east 150 feet to the west <br />line of South Avenue; thence northerly along the west line of South <br />Avenue 50 feet to the place of beginning, being the sa~e premises <br />described in a deed dated March 9~ 1918, and recordedfin the Dutchess <br />County Clerk's Office in Book 439 of Deeds at page 491. <br /> EXCEPTING AND RESERVING from the above described premises so much <br />thereof as iS described in a release of part of mortgaged premises <br />dated March 2, 1949, and made by Wappinger Savings Bank to An~elo <br />Sammartino and recorded in the Cutchess County Clerk's Office in <br />Liber 712 of Deeds at page 194~ to which reference is hereby m~de for <br />a more particular description of parcel hereby excepted. <br /> <br /> <br />
