The regular meeting of the Village ~oard of Trustees was held on 9-10-80 at 7:00 P.M. in the American Legion Hall. Present: Mayor Synnett, Tr. Dolan, Tr. Moruzzl, Tr. Silvestri, Tro costa, Tr. DiGregorio, Tr. Viglotti, Atty. Lyons and Treasurer Campilii. Minutes: Minutes of the last regular Village Board meeting held on 8-13-80 had been duplicated and previously presented to Board members. Motion by Tr. $ilvestri~ seconded by Tr. Moruszi that the above minutes. be accepted as written. Carried. TreaSurer Campilii discussed year end balances~ a copy of which follows the. minutes of this meeting. Mayor S~nnett reported receiving a letter from Civil Defense in referen~ to a Disaster plan. He stated the S.W. Johnson Engine Co. has recently acquired a used bus and suggested the Village lease same in case of an emergency or a disaster. Mayor Synnett reported bus was a va/uable piece of equipment. Motion by Tr. Dalan, seconded by Tr. Silvestr~ that the Village lease the above mentioned bus for emergency use at a cost of $1,000. per yr. Carried. Fire Chief Mazochi asked to address Board concerning a Cadet program at the W.,T, Earner Engine Co, and introduced George Dansereau who sponsored pwogram, Mr. Dansereau reported members would be 6omprised of Explorer Boy Scouts, ages 14-21~ and they would be covered by their own insurance. He stated' this was a 3 yr. program, co-educational, and would provide sound, unilateral firematic training, Mr, Dansereau reported there were 400 cadet posts throughout the country but none in Dutchess County, He stated they were nationally sponsored by the Boy Scouts of America and their by-laws coincide with those of the Association of Fire Chiefs, Mr, Dansereau reported they were supervised by an adult leader and stated same would be a beneficial program for the youth. Mayor /Synnett stated copy of insurance policy should be filed with the Village. Motion by Tr. Moruz~i, seconded by Tr. Viglotti that the above program be approved, contingent upon acceptance of their liability insurance.by the Village. Atty. Carried.
