<br />Minutes following the 1/13/10 Village Board Meeting <br /> <br />NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br />VILLAGE OF WAPPINGERS FALLS <br />1/13/10 <br /> <br />T <br />HE CHAIR DECLARED THE PUBLIC HEARING OPEN <br /> <br />C <br />LERK READ PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE <br /> <br />NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br />VILLAGE OF WAPPINGERS FALLS <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN <br /> that the Board of Trustees of the Village of <br />th <br />Wappingers Falls will conduct a PUBLIC HEARING on the 13 day of January, 2010, at <br />7:00 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 7 Spring Street, Wappingers Falls, New York, at <br />which time all parties in interest and citizens shall have an opportunity to be heard as to <br />whether the Board of Trustees of the Village of Wappingers Falls shall adopt a proposed <br />Local Law entitled "Local Law No. 1 of the Year 2010, Amending of the Code of the <br />Village of Wappingers Falls”. <br /> <br />PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE <br /> that the purpose and intent of the proposed <br />Local Law is to amend the Code of the Village of Wappingers Falls so as to establish a <br />no parking zone on a portion of Wenliss Avenue. <br /> <br />Mayor Alexander opened the hearing up for comment. Village Attorney Viglotti <br />explained the purpose of the proposed local law.The purpose of this Local Law shall be <br /> <br />to establish a “No Parking Here to Corner” zone on both the northern and southern sides <br />of Wenliss Terrace 15 feet from its intersection with State Route 9.Those in attendance <br /> <br />agreed this would be of benefit in providing a clear view of traffic as motorist advance <br />forward to route 9. Mayor Alexander asked if there were any other comments from the <br />Board or public. None replied. <br /> <br />Motion by Trustee Marshall to close the Public Hearing.
