<br />Annual Reorganization Meeting of the Mayor and Village Board of Trustees <br />The was held on <br />Monday, April 2, 2007 at 7:00 P.M <br />. in the American Legion Hall, 7 Spring Street, Wappingers Falls, <br />NY 12590 <br /> <br />Purpose of the meeting is to make annual appointments, designate depositories, adopt official <br />newspaper, set dates for regular meetings and workshops and to reorganize the various committees that <br />will enact business during the coming year. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. <br /> <br />Moment of silence was held in support of our Troops. <br /> <br />Moment of silence was held in memory of Mr. Christopher Hargrave <br /> a former Trustee of the <br />Village. <br /> <br />Oath of Office to <br />Clerk Karge administered the Mayor Matt Alexander; Trustee Paul Italiano and <br />Trustee Alan Weitlich, and Trustee Denise Calabrese. <br />Oath of Office <br />Clerk Karge then administered the to Village Justice Raymond C. Chase, Jr. <br />(Note: 30 days from today to file Oath of Office with the Village Clerk.) <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />: Mayor Alexander, present; Trustee Cerino, present; Trustee Italiano, present; Trustee <br />Weitlich, present; Trustee Visentin, present; Trustee Calabrese, present. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS: <br /> <br />Second Ward Trustee Vacancy: <br />nd <br />Mayor Alexander stated the first order of business was to fill the vacancy for his seat in the 2 Ward <br />and this would be Mr. Robert Marshall. He then asked for a motion. <br />Motion by Tr. Weitlich seconded by Tr. Cerino to appoint Robert Marshall to fill the Trustee vacancy <br />nd <br />in the 2 Ward. All in favor. Carried. <br />Clerk then administered the Oath of Office to Tr. Marshall. <br /> <br />Deputy Mayor: <br />Mayor Alexander stated the next order of business was to appoint the Deputy Mayor. He has given this <br />a great deal of thought. The Deputy Mayor has to cover any meetings that he is not present at and the <br />Deputy Mayor also has to sign for payroll. He thinks this is a very important duty. It is one that <br />requires a lot of exactness and the only person that he could recommend for this is Tr. Cerino because <br />of his preciseness and he will be an asset as the Deputy Mayor. <br />Motion by Tr. Visentin, seconded by Tr. Marshall to appoint Tr. Cerino as Deputy Mayor. <br />All in favor. Carried. <br /> <br />Village Attorney: <br />Mayor Alexander stated the next order of business is to appoint a Village Attorney. As you know this <br />year they opened up all of the appointments and advertised all of them in the paper beforehand. They <br />did meet with a few different applicants for this position but after careful consideration, it is his <br />determination that they would be served by our past Attorney, Mr. Lou Viglotti. <br />Motion by Tr. Marshall, seconded by Tr. Weitlich to reappoint Lou Viglotti as Village Attorney. <br />All in favor; Tr. Cerino stated he would respectfully vote no.
