A Public Hearing on the 9ro~osed 1991-1992 Village budget was held <br />Monday, Agril 15, 1991 at 7:00 in the Village Hall <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Hinzmann, Tr. Napoleon, Tr. DiDomizio, Tr. Bovino, <br />Tr. Kormorni~, Tr. Costello, Tr. Bain & Attorney Viglotti, <br />Treasurer ~asterson. <br />Also ~resent: POlice Comm. Terwilliger. <br /> <br />Clerk announce legal notice for said Hearing had been published in <br />the W. & S.D. News on 4-3-91. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Costello, seconded b~ Tr. Bain that Hearing recess <br />for informal discussions since no one present voiced an qpinion <br />pro or con said budget. Carried. <br /> <br />Village Board in agreement that a special voting meeting be scheduled <br />for Tuesday, April 23, 1991 at 7:00 P.~. in the Village Hall and the <br />agenda be as follows: <br /> <br />Re~ort on re~airs to Weed Harvester. <br />Authorize contract in conjunction with landscaping bids for <br />Village owned parks. <br />Possible adoption of the tenf'ative 1991-1992 budget. <br />Report on repairs to Fire Pumper. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Costello, seconded by Tr. Komornik that Public Hg. <br />reconvene. Carried. 7:25 <br /> <br />Tr. Bain reported Board had anticipated more ~ublic input this <br />evening and, ~rior to adoption 6f budget, final adjustments have to <br />be made. <br />He discussed reductions in State aid which includes $125,000., less <br />in revenue sharing, reduction in the CHIPS program by 60% and broad <br />reductions in Recreational programs. <br /> <br />Treasurer Masterson re~orted tax base has increased but State cuts <br />amounts to a decrease of $7.55 Der thousand. <br />She stated that, after much deliberation, an increase of $3.65 per <br />thousand has been compromised. <br /> <br />Tr. Bain reported Mayor and Board members have expended much time <br />working on this budget and have comprehensively investigated each <br />item line by line. <br /> <br />He stated, following review of original budget requests, an increased <br />budgetary tax rate of $155.00 Der thousand was proposed. <br /> <br />Tr. Bain reported Board diligently negotiated these requests <br />and with the cooperation of department heads, reduced this figure <br />to an approximate $118.00 per thousand. <br />He stated budget reflected no increases in salary and only certain <br />Dersons were brought into Darody positions. <br /> <br />Tr. Bain reported budget reflected no cut backs in services and <br />no jobs have been eliminated. <br /> <br /> <br />
