The regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on Wednesday~ Feb. 11, 1981 at 7:30 P.M. in the American Legion Hall. Present: Mayor Symnett~ Tr. Dolan, Tr. Moruzzi, Tr. Silvestrl, Tr. Costa, Tr. DiGregorio, Tr. Viglotti, Atty. Lyons & Engineers Paggi & Martin. Mayor Synnett requested a moment of silent prayer be observed in memory of former Connecticut Governor Grasso who recently passed away. Minutes: Minutes of the last regular meeting held 1-14-81 had been duplicated and previously presented to Board members. Motion by Tr. Silvestri, seconded by Tr. Dolan that the above minutes be accepted as written. Carried. Mayor Synnett requested meeting go out of the regular order of business. Acting Justice Chase introduced Karen Kirkwood, a student at Marist College, who has been assigned to the Village to update the Village Code. He stated she would be working 50 hrs. on the project. Acting Justice Chase also thanked the Board for the opportunity of serving the Village as Acting Justice for the last 4 yrs. Agenda: Report on Tri-Municipal funding for sewer lines: Mayor Synnett reported there was money available according to Eng. LaPar and discussion followed on possible funding for sewer lines. Motion by Tr. Silvestri, seconded by Tr. Costa that a meeting be scheduled with Eng. LaPar, through Tri-Municipal~ to discuss funding. Tr. Moruzzi inquired as to what exactly we were doing as it was his understanding that there would be no funding until step no. 2 was initiated and same has not been done. Atty. Lyons suggested inquiring as to what steps we would have to go through to ~ualify for funding as procedures were hazy. He stated pre- qualifications must be filed. Mayor Synnett reported T~vn of LaGrange dissatisfied with Tri-Municipal and stated he would arrange'the meeting. Roll Call: Tr. Moruzzi (abstain), Tr. Viglotti (aye), Tr. Costa (aye), Tr. DiGregorio (aye), Tr. Silvestxi (aye), Tr.Dolan (abstain). Carried. Report on the erection of lights on the .East Main Street brid~e: Atty. Lyons reported D.O.T. would provide 4 decorative lights on the bridge provided Village assumes future costs for repairs, maintenance and electrical expense. He stated they provided a sketch which showed 4 high ~odium lights to be installed on the sidewalk on the bridge.
