A special meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on 4-27-81'at <br />7:30 P.M. in the American Legion Hall. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Synnett, Tr. Morazzi~ Tr. Greco, Tr. Costa, Tr. Mazochi, <br />Tr. Viglotti, Atty. Lyons, Treasurer Campilii and ~ngineers PaGGi & Martin. <br /> <br />Treasurer Campilii reported only major changes in preliminary budget were <br />changes in the salaries for the Mayor and Trustees. He stated the Board was <br />reduced from $14,400. to $9,000'. and the Mayor from $4400. to $2750. which <br />resulted in a savings of $5900. <br />Treasurer Campilii reported he needed to know the amount the amount of the <br />maximum tax and the method of financing the bond~ issue for the Rte. 9D <br />project. <br /> <br />Mayor Synne~t reported we were receiving estimates from several Towns and <br />Villages on sewer rates and same will be turned over to the .qewer Comm.. <br />fbr study and recommehdations. <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons reported we needed a down payment for bond issue which should <br />amount to 5% of tota 1 cost but should be increased to 6~. <br /> <br />Tr. Moruzzi suggested we go with 6~ as we could pay off the bonds on a usage <br />rate. <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons reported money has to be deposited with the State no l~t~r than <br />March Of 1982. <br /> <br />Eno. Paggi reported design stage has to be has to be completed by 9-1-81. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Viglotti, seconded by Tr. Costa that the Village deposit 7~ in the <br />new budget as a down payment for the bond issue which would amount to $112,000. <br />Motion carried - All in favor. <br /> <br />Tr. Costa sugges%ed putting an additional $5900. in budget for street and <br />sidewalk repair. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Costa, seconded by Tr. Moruzzi that the above be approved and <br />same be put in Capital Improvement. Carried. - All in favor. <br /> <br />Treasurer Campilii reported Police salaries were unknown at present and tax <br />rate could go up to $46.84 per thousand. He stated same was $34.00 per thousand <br />last year. <br /> <br />Tr. Moruzzi reported we would be reimbursed $16,000. for the Maple Street <br />Drainage project. <br /> <br />Treasurer Campilii reported he could rework cash surpluses and estimated <br />revenues in an effort to reduce tax rate. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Mazochi, seconded by Tr. Moruzzi that the 1981-82 tax ratie be <br />set at $46.00 per thousand. Motion carried - All in favor. <br /> <br /> <br />
