The regular meeting of the Village Board of. Trustees was held on Wednesday,. <br />May 13, 1981 at 7:30 m.M. in the American Legion Hall. <br /> <br />Present:.Mayor S~nnett, Tr. Moruzzi~ Tr. Greco, Tr. Costa, Tr. ~4azochi, <br />Tr. DiGregorio, Tr. Viglotti, Atty. Lyons & Engineers Paggi & Martin. <br /> <br />Mayor Synnett requested a moment of silent prayer be observed for t~dith <br />Valente, Park Commission member, who recently passed away and Pope John <br />Paul ll, who had been struck by an assassin's bullet. <br /> <br />Minutes: <br />Minutes of the last regular meetin9 held 4-8-81, Informational meeting & <br />Visual Environmental meeting held 4-13-81, Public Hg. and special meetin~ <br />held 4-15-81, Informational meeting held 4-21-81 and a special meeting h~ld <br />on 4-27-81 had been dupliEated and previously presented to Board members. <br /> <br />blotion by Tr. Greco~ seconded by Tr. ~oruzzi that the above minutes be <br />accepted as written. Carried. <br /> <br />Mayor Synnett recommended that Mrs. Eileen Masterson and Carl Re.lyes be <br />appointed to the Park Commission replacing Edith Valente who. passed away. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Costa, seconded by Tr. Moruzzi that the above recommendation <br />be accepted. Carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Costa, seconded by Tr. Mazochi that the Park Comm. be authbrized <br />to advdrtise for the hiring of a Groundskeeper as the present person was <br />resigning. Carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Costa, seconded by Tr. Mazochi that authorization be given for <br />the replacement of a bench at the M.I.A. Park as one had been demolished <br />by a car. Carried. <br /> <br />Mayor Synnett reported the Junior Hi9h School has donated a memorial sign <br />for the H.I.A. Park and dedication will be on 5iemorial Day. He requested <br />permission to expend $150.00 for shubbery for the Park. <br />Motion by Tr..Horuzzi, seconded by Tr. Viglotti that permission be gra~ed <br />the above request and a letter of appreciation be forwarded the Schoo%. <br />Carried. <br /> <br />Resident of Dutchess Ave. presented a petition from residents of that street, <br />Dutchess Terr. & Harket St. requesting a 15 m.p.h, speed limim for the area <br />and also requested the speed zone be enforced, <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons reported Village could set a lower rate. <br /> <br />Mayor Synnett scheduled a.meeting for 5-20-81 at 7:30 P.M. to discuss the <br />situation with the residents, Legislative Comm. and Police Chief. <br /> <br /> <br />
