<br />MINUTES OF PLANNING BOARD MEETING HELD JANUARY 8, 2015 <br /> <br />Present: Tom Morris, Chairman, Don McCormick, Mike Kocan, George Moran, Lisa Cobb <br />(Attorney) and Mary Ann Loncto <br /> <br />Absent: John Regan Bonnie Kieffer <br /> <br />Others Present: <br /> Trustee Komornik Jim Komornik <br /> Trustee Huber Michele Greig <br /> Paul Beichert Richard Hollister <br /> Michele Scianna Tom Scianna <br /> Ray Marinaccio Todd Page <br /> Al Capelli Steve Griggs <br /> <br />Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. There was one correction to the minutes – Page 3, <br />Third line should read “…renovate first floor and demolish detached one car garage…” Mr. <br />McCormick made a motion to approve the minutes as amended, seconded by Mr. Kocan. <br />Unanimously carried. <br /> <br />HUDSON VALLEY CREDIT UNION, 11 MARSHALL ROAD <br />Next on the agenda was the proposal from the Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union, 11 Marshall <br />Road to change a wall sign. Mr. Paul Beichert from Timely Signs was present. Secretary stated <br />there is a consent form on file from the Credit Union giving Timely Signs permission to <br />represent them. It was stated for the record that this appearance is for one sign only –the sign <br />over the main door. The Credit Union is changing their logo and felt a new sign was necessary. <br />Mr. Murphy confirmed that the sign conforms to the Code. (It is actually smaller than the <br />existing one). Mr. Beichert stated they are not internally illuminated the sign but instead going <br />to external illumination (part of their submission was a cut sheet on the lighting). When asked <br />applicant stated that LED lighting is too bright. Mr. Kocan made a motion to approve the sign as <br />proposed contingent upon color samples being supplied. Motion was seconded by Mr. <br />McCormick. Unanimously carried. Applicant was reminded to come to the Zoning/Planning <br />offices for his permit and payment. <br /> <br />RICHARD HOLLISTER, 1 MARKET STREET <br />Next on the agenda was the continuation of a proposal from Richard Hollister with changes to <br />the outside of the building at 1 Market Street. Mr. Richard Hollister owner of the building was <br />present at the meeting. Applicant stated that he had taken pictures of all the different buildings <br />in the Village and tried to design his building in accordance with them. The front of the building <br />will have a metal fascia with metal crown molding – ½” thick MDO plywood frieze board – <br />there would be columns and picture windows with a new entry door – The side of the building is <br />similar to the front with the picture windows. He is scheduling a meeting between himself, Code <br />Enforcement Officer Murphy and his Architect to discuss the color schemes for the building. A <br />copy of his façade design in on file in the Planning/Zoning offices. Mr. Kocan stated that he <br />would like to see a more traditional look to the windows then the slides he is showing – maybe <br />he could break up the windows with panes that you just attach to the windows.
