MINUTES OF PLANNING BOARD MEETING HELD APRIL 2, 2015 Present: Tom Morris, Chairman, Don McCormick, George Moran, Mike Kocan, Lisa Cobb (Attorney), and Mary Ann Loncto (Secretary) Absent: Bonnie Kieffer and John Regan Others Present: Claudia Sweeny Trustee Davis Trustee Komornik Cathy Mazochi Larry Frazier Jay Diesing Brian Watts George Gallaher Bryan Murphy Gail Weitlich Michele Greig Jay Paggi Travis Ewald Al Weitlich Dennis Lynch Gary Baright Cindy Latino Trustee Huber Allen Firstenberg Bill Povall Dave Stenger Kyle Krys Pat Hancock Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. Mr. McCormick made a motion to approve the minutes from the March meeting, seconded by Mr. Moran. Unanimously carried. 16 HANDLES FROZEN YOGURT – IMPERIAL PLAZA First on the agenda was the proposal for a sign for 16 Handles Frozen Yogurt to be located in the Imperial Plaza. Mr. Larry Frazier proprietor of the store was present. It was stated that there is a consent form on record from the property owner. Mr. Murphy confirmed that the sign conforms to the Zoning Ordinance. He is proposing one wall sign – no outstanding obligations to the Village. The sign will have the same type of lighting as AT&T (adjacent – goosenecks). The size of the sign is 2’4” x 9”. Mr. McCormick made a motion to approve the sign as presented contingent upon the color samples being brought to the office, motion was seconded by Mr. Moran. Unanimously carried. Mr. Frazier was reminded to go to the Planning Office to pay for his permit. GALLAHER’S DELI – VALERO CONVENIENCE STORE – 2558 SOUTH AVENUE Next on the agenda was the proposal from Gallaher Deli to be located within Valero Convenience Store – 2558 South Avenue. Mr. George Gallaher the proprietor of the deli as present. It was stated that there is a consent form on file from the owner of the property. Mr. Gallaher stated he is proposing a small deli in the existing building. There is already a walk in cooler there. He is proposing to build a 10 foot hood with ansul system and a three bay sink (drains are already existing) hand sink, front counter and two small partition walls. The space is approximately 700 sq. ft. Mr. Murphy stated that the applicant will be working with the Code Enforcement Officer for all necessary permits. Mr. Morris asked applicant which way he would be venting the hood and he answered he would be venting out the back. Mr. McCormick made a motion to approve the use as proposed, seconded by Mr. Kocan. Unanimously carried.
