<br />MINUTES OF THE PLANNING BOARD MEETING HELD 2/4/16 <br /> <br />Present: Tom Morris, Chairman, Bonnie Kieffer, Vice Chair, Don McCormick, Mike Kocan, <br />Bob Relyea, George Moran (Alternate), Lisa Cobb (Attorney) and Mary Ann Loncto, Secretary) <br /> <br />Others Present: <br /> Lydia Enson Judy Beck <br /> Jennifer Niznik Bill Povall <br /> Cathy Mazochi Lou Snell <br /> Kristina Graham Bryan Murphy <br /> Jim Komornik Trustee Komornik <br /> Muhammad Khalil Lou Gashi <br /> <br />Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. The minutes from the January 7, 2016 meeting were <br />discussed – Page 2, Second paragraph, first sentence should read, “…The South sign as proposed <br />was <br /> then discussed…”, Page 4, First paragraph, second sentence should read, “Mr. Morris asked <br />the applicant to establish an escrow account in the amount of $1,000.00.”, Page 4, Last <br />building <br />paragraph, third sentence should read, “……is a consent form on file from the owner.” <br />Page 5, second paragraph, fifth sentence should read, “….the minimum height to the bottom of <br />the signwill it be in the line <br />…..”, and Page 5, third paragraph, second sentence should read, “…. <br />of sight at the intersection? <br />Ms. Kieffer made a motion to approve the minutes as amended, <br />seconded by Mr. Kocan. Unanimously carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Morris stated he was going to make a change to the order of the agenda. He was moving the <br />last item to the top. The reasons were – we do not have any additional information but because it <br />was noted as a public hearing – the Board would open the public hearing and give anyone in the <br />audience a chance to be heard. <br /> <br />TERESA NOVICK, 38-46 FRANKLINDALE AVENUE <br />First on the agenda was the continuation of a public hearing on the request of Teresa Novick, 6 <br />Woodland Court, Wappingers Falls, NY seeking a Special Use Permit in conjunction with site <br />plan review to be able to add two additional trailers to her property located at the above address. <br />Ms. Kieffer made a motion to open the public hearing, seconded by Mr. Relyea. Unanimously <br />carried. Mrs. Jenn Niznik representing her mother stated that there is no additional information <br />at this point and they are working on updating the plans. They would like to adjourn the public <br />hearing until the March meeting. Mr. Morris stated that the applicant must come to the March <br />meeting with updated plans and prepared to discuss the project or the Board would either ask the <br />applicant to withdraw their application or the Board would make a determination. Mr. Relyea <br />made a motion to adjourn the public hearing until the next meeting which is scheduled for March <br />3, 2016, seconded by Ms. Kieffer. Unanimously carried. <br /> <br />DAVIS FOWLER GROUP FOR DUTCHESS SHOPPING PLAZA, 1582 ROUTE 9 <br />Next on the agenda was the continuation of a proposal from Davis Fowler Group with two new <br />road signs at Dutchess Shopping Plaza, 1582 Route 9. Mr. Bill Povall, Engineer for the project <br />was present. Since the previous meeting Mr. Morris stated that he has had a chance to chat with <br />the Village Attorney and it has been determined that it is legal to have a road sign at each <br /> <br />
