<br />MINUTES OF THE PLANNING BOARD MEETING HELD AUGUST 4, 2016 <br /> <br />Present: Tom Morris, Chairman, Don McCormick, George Moran, Bob Relyea, Lisa Cobb <br />(Attorney) and Mary Ann Loncto, Secretary <br /> <br />Absent: Mike Kocan and Bonnie Kieffer <br /> <br />Others Present: <br /> Nancy Clark Michele Greig <br /> Bryan Murphy Stacey Richards <br /> Bill Povall Jay Deising <br /> Gary Baright Teresa Novick <br /> Jon Bodendorf Jennifer Niznik <br /> Ronnie Komornik Cathy Mazochi <br /> Carol Enson Kevin Huber <br /> Judy Beck Andrew Rizzo <br /> Joseph LoBuono Marie Vetinelli <br /> Al Cappelli <br /> <br />Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. Mr. Morris noted that both Ms. Clark and Ms. Greig’s <br />names were inadvertently omitted from the list of attendees at the July 2016 meeting minutes. <br />He also stated that the location of the recorded minutes should be changed to being available <br />through the Village Server and available on the Village website. Mr. Moran made a motion to <br />accept the minutes as amended, seconded by Mr. McCormick. Unanimously carried. Mr. <br />Relyea was absent for the voting of the minutes. <br /> <br />KEY BANK, 1555 ROUTE 9 <br />First on the agenda was the proposal for signs for Key Bank (Formerly First Niagara) located at <br />1555 Route 9. Stacey Richards was present representing Saxton Sign Corporation. Mr. Murphy <br />confirmed that the signs conform to the Zoning Code. Applicant is just swapping out all the First <br />Niagara signs for Key Bank signs. There will be no change to the lighting. Mr. Moran made a <br />motion to approve the signs as proposed contingent upon applicant supplying the Planning Board <br />with a color sample of all colors except black or white. Motion was seconded by Mr. <br />McCormick. Unanimously carried. Mr. Relyea was absent for the voting. Applicant was <br />reminded to go to the Zoning Office to pay for his permit before installing any of the signs. <br /> <br />DUTCHESS SHOPPING PLAZA, 1582 ROUTE 9 <br />Next on the agenda was the proposal from Dutchess Shopping Center, 1582 Route 9 with a <br />proposal to change the following signs in the plaza, Fantastic Cuts, Smokes 4 Less, Saigon Pho, <br />First Wok Restaurant, Kai Nails & Spa, Tony’s Gyro & Grill, Los Hornitos, Village Gone Green <br />and Uniforms Array (Los Hornitos, Village Gone Green and Uniforms Array need area <br />variances). Mr. Bill Povall representing the plaza was present. Mr. Murphy confirmed that all <br />signs except the three stated were in conformance with the Zoning Code. Applicant stated signs <br />are all within a couple of inches of staying flush against the building. All signs are 20 sq. ft. and <br />made of composite Board with aluminum face with goose neck lights. Mr. Moran made a <br />motion to approve the signs as proposed contingent upon (1) all color swatches (except black or <br /> <br />
