<br />MINUTES OF THE FEBRUARY 2, 2017 PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br /> <br />Present: Tom Morris, Chairman, Bonnie Kieffer, Vice Chair, Don McCormick, Mike <br />Kocan, Bob Relyea, George Moran (Alternate) and Mary Ann Loncto, Secretary <br /> <br />Others Present: <br /> Trustee Komornik Trustee Chase <br /> Cathy Mazochi Al Weitlich <br /> Bryan Murphy Colleen Brosco <br /> Bill Povall Frank Buyakowski <br /> Yewen Chen Al Cappelli <br /> Marty Novick Debbie Novick <br /> Trustee Huber Robert Henshaw <br /> Brian Stokosa Robert Montaquiza <br /> <br />Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. Ms. Kieffer made a motion to approve the minutes <br />from the January 5, 2017 meeting, seconded by Mr. Kocan. On roll call vote – Ms. Kieffer – <br />Aye, Mr. Kocan – Aye, Mr. Morris – Aye, Mr. McCormick and Mr. Relyea – both abstained as <br />they were not in attendance. <br /> <br />CHOPSTOCKS SUSHI AND BBQ, 1659 ROUTE 9 <br />First on the agenda was a sign proposal from Chopsticks Sushi and BBQ requesting a slat on the <br />road sign at 1659 Route 9. No one was present to give their proposal. Mr. Murphy confirmed <br />that the sign conforms to the Zoning Code. Mr. Kocan made a motion to approve the sign as <br />proposed contingent upon a color sample that matches the color on the print, seconded by Mr. <br />McCormick. Unanimously carried. <br /> <br />NONNA’S PIZZA, 1582 ROUTE 9 <br />Next on the agenda was the proposal from Nonna’s Pizza for a restaurant/pizzeria to be located <br />at the newly renovated north end of the Dutchess Shopping Plaza, 1582 Route 9. Mr. William <br />Povall, Engineer, Mr. Frank Buyakowski, owner of the property and Mr. Yewen Chen owner of <br />the business were present. It was stated that the former Dominoes was rebuilt and Nonna’s <br />Pizzeria would occupy the space. Mr. Murphy stated he had no objections to the drawings and <br />he would be working with the applicants on the grease trap. Mr. Morris informed applicants they <br />would have to establish a $500.00 escrow for review of the grease trap by the Village Engineer. <br />Applicant stated signs are not part of this submission. Mr. Povall also stated he is proposing a <br />window (same as what is on the front with the same trim) on the north corner of the building. <br />Mr. McCormick made a motion to approve the use as a pizza parlor and the addition of the <br />window on the north corner of the building contingent upon successful review by the Village <br />Engineer of the grease trap. Motion was seconded by Ms. Kieffer. Unanimously carried. <br /> <br />MARTY’S AUTOMOTIVE, 11 DELAVERGNE AVENUE <br />Next on the agenda was the proposal from Marty’s Automotive for a auto repair shop with <br />towing and a new sign to be located at 11 Delavergne Avenue. Marty Novick, owner of the <br />business was present. It was stated that there is a consent form on file from the property owner. <br />Mr. Murphy confirmed that it is in compliance with all Village Codes and it is a continuation of <br /> <br />
