105 <br /> <br />Special meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on-June 24~ 1975 <br />at 7sOO PH in the A~erican Legion Hall. <br /> <br />Presents Tr. Dolan, Tro DiBerto~ Tr. Bain, Tr. Belding, Tr. Short and Atty. <br />Lyons= <br />Absent: t4~yor Sy~nett .and Tr. Silvestrt. <br /> <br />The following agenda to be follo~ed~ <br /> <br />Police Chief's Contract: <br />Atty. Lyons reported that at the last meeting he submitted a suggested form <br />of contract based on information which he understood was in agreement. <br />He stated the Chief offered a modified contract with no substantial <br />changes,which included a cost of living clause. <br />Atty. Lyons stated Village Board suggested s~e wording be put in that the <br />department be operated within the budget allocatted~ and he sent me~bers <br />letter outlining changes. ~' <br />He reparted the Chief suggested somethin9 be included for emergency measures. <br /> <br />Notion by Tr. Dolan, seconded by Tr. Belding that the above be discussed in <br />executive session. Carried. <br /> <br />Executive Session: <br /> <br />~totion by Tr. Belding, seconded by Tr. Short that meeting return to regular <br />session. Ca.rri~d. <br /> <br />The following resolution was offered by Tr. DiBerto who moved its adoption, <br />seconded by Tr. Short <br /> <br />R£SOLUTION FIXING GOMPt~NSATION OF CHIE~ OF POLICE <br /> <br /> ~t£R~S,, at the tine Robert Fo Berberich was hired as Chief of Police of <br />this Village in January, 1975, it was understood that his annual salary of <br />$L5,500o00 would be adjusted to reflect the increase in the cost of living <br />index, and <br /> <br /> WHBREA$, at such time the specific ~or~ula for such adjustment was <br />worked out and the applicable index was not agreed uponj and <br /> <br /> ~R~, such figures have now been negotiated between the partiesj and <br />this Board desires to make provision for the payment of such adjusted <br />salary, <br /> <br />NO~, THI~RI~FORB, BB IT RI~SOLVED A.~ FOLLOWS; <br /> <br /> Secti~ 1. That for the fiscal year commencing June 1, 1975, said <br />Chief's annual salary shall be the sum of $15,$00,00 times the New <br />York-Northeastern New Jersey (all items) Consumer Price Index Figures <br />published in Hay, 1975, (163.6) by the United States Department of Labor <br />(1967-69=100), divided by the Ne~ York-Northeastern New Jersey (all items) <br />Consumer Price Index Figures published in January, 1975, the month in <br />which said Chief was hired, (161.7) for an annual salary of $15,682.13 <br />during such fiscal year. <br /> <br /> <br />
