A Public Hearing on a proposed Local Law regarding an amendment to the <br />Zoning Ordinance concerning gasoline stations was scheduled for Wednesday~ <br />Oct. 8~ 1975 at 7:00 PM in the American Legion Hallo <br /> <br />Present: Mayor. Synnett, Tr. Dolans Tr~ DiBerto~ Tro Bain~ Tr. Silvestris <br />Tr. Belding~ Tr. Short and Arty, Lyons. <br /> <br />Mayor Synnett reported Public Hearing would have to be cancelled due to a <br />mistake in the legal notice. <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons reported amendment~ as stated~ would establish a 1200 distance <br />between existing stations. <br />He st&ted this would prohibit and establish a distance between stations <br />but wouldn't prohibit a station 100 ft away or on an existin9 corner. <br />Atty. Lyons reported the Board wanted to establish a 1200' radius between <br />stations and this Local Law was not what the Board wanted to act on. <br />He stated it was not the Board's intentions to create a 1200~ limit <br />outside of the Village and a new Local Law would have to be prepared <br />and another Public Hearing scheduled. <br /> <br />Mr. Crane reported it was not his impression that if Board enacted a 1200t <br />distance it would be measured between stations. <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons reported Board was tryin9 to establish a density of gasoline <br />stations within the Villager and it was intended to be a radius. <br />He stated Local Law before the Board will not be adopted as it doesntt <br />express what they wanted. <br />He stated no action wi1! be taken. <br /> <br />Public Hearing cancelled. <br /> <br /> <br />
